Your eternal reward its an item from TF2, one of the most played steam games, the item is for the Spy class, and every time you stab someone, the knife will give you the aspect of the player (class) who you killed, but there is a problem, every time you diguise the invisibilty cloak will reduce to 0%, this mean that you need to wait, or just picking some ammo boxes
ammo boxes are not an issue when youll be getting chain-stabs like crazy
And the tf2 item seems to be a reference to the disney movie aladin
It’s originally from Aladdin, with the knife here looking more like that anyway. Also, was all that useless trivia about the tf2 item necessary?
it also drains your cloak 33% faster. but yeah, it's most likely a reference to aladdin

it's unlikely.
fiend folio intentionally has a different vibe than the default content, while antibirth was as faithful as possible.
plus a few of the devs have said they have no real interest in it becoming official.
the gauntlet without items sounds like an absolute torture

This feels like one of those point and click puzzle games where you'd get a different ending depending on what items you have and the order you do stuff
This may be a bit simple, but could you do a video about the tinted rocks in fiend folio. All the new rocks are really cool, but dang they’re not easy to find the useful ones.

The item is a reference to the identical "Your Eternal Reward" from TF2, which is in turn named after Jaffar from Aladdin's line when he attempts to trap Aladdin in the crumbling sand cave
Assuming the Your Eternal Reward isn't just a placeholder, I have to wonder what it'd do once its function is properly implemented
Given how the YER works in actual TF2 is you instantly disguise as whoever you backstab, I can't help but wonder if maybe it'll do something like that [with a pinch of Ghost Kirby from Squeak Squad, perhaps], where killing an enemy will have you _become_ that enemy
Killing an enemy has a 65% chance to make you look like that enemy and other enemies won't hurt you, but if you touch one or attack then you lose it. You can still drop bombs and go through rooms, but you cannot disguise as, or fool bosses. However, killing an enemy also gives you temporary lower speed.
How about that idea?

Honestly think the Gauntlet Challenge would be amazing to see with every Base Repentance Isaac Boss.
i feel like doing this achievement is way too inaccessible for the average player who has this mod, and it would be more desirable maybe if you were allowed to buy even one or two more items to boost your stats

Fiend folio has an option to unlock everything from the start, so it'll probably be included in that.
All the achievements give you the option to just complete them from within the mod's settings menu. And the gauntlet will be tweaked and expanded over time as more bosses get added to the mod so we'll have to wait and see how it changes.
@@TheGreenDigi i suppose, but i personally would rather have an accessible way for players to legitimately complete these achievements without then being attainable for only the top 5% of players
Y'know, while the item isn't in the game yet, they should make it at least be a +1 dmg
I think that should be a thing post achievement anyway so that way if you have the means to get the easter egg kill (which is already rare) you get something good as long as you already have done the unlock. A good reason to do that on normal runs
The planet badge is fun. I went to space camp this summer and they gave tags w/ your name, team (eg. moon team, sun team etc) and your dorm number. It was a nice experience.
The devs were mentioning they'd reduce the number of pennies in the gauntlet when adding more bosses. So best do it now before it gets even harder.

Can be mad a lot easier if you manage to get a bomb while fighting the first badge boss, just kill the minions while they're holding a bomb and use it on the shopkeeper in the first room. You get penny tears for easy money.
Never seen any of these bosses, this is so crazy to me!
I've been playing Ziggurat 2 a ton lately and I love the gauntlet mode on it. Can't recommend that game enough.
I actually found out the YER was in the mod by using console to check item IDs for spindown rerolls. Was confused when it got skipped over... I'd have to wonder what insane luck it'd take to find all the necessary bosses in one run though.
Either way I figure the badges make good void/reroll fodder at least

If this was found without data mining then it's impressive finding, if not then meh. Love the explosive kittens reference too. Was thinking you'd have to defeat sun with the sun card though. The mod improved a lot since AB+ !
The Planet bade already existed in AB+ so figureing the rest out would only be a matter of time for the ppl that played the mod back then ^^

I like a lot of stuff about Fiend Folio, but most of the new bosses are too difficult for me relative to the floors they appear on. I don't want to deal with early HP sponges that also spawn adds, especially with bad Eden starts. After trying (and failing) the Gauntlet the regular way a bunch of times, the only first floor boss I learned to like was Whispers due to having predictable patterns and not spawning other enemies. It was the only boss I could reliably no-hit with base stats after 3 hours of attempts.
Seeing this secret unlock just makes me want to uninstall the mod. I'm a completionist, so it's discouraging to know that I don't have the skills, time, or patience to beat this challenge or the secret route. Hopefully the mod creators dial back their HP or make other adjustments, but I feel that any request for making early bosses easier will likely just get brushed off by the more hardcore players.
as much as i want to say skill issue, i definitely get the difficulty complaint. balancing difficulty is a hard task at times and sometimes people who play more casually or simply just aren't as advanced can get hard to accommodate for without making something too easy.
this will probably become easier when they add more bosses, because you will have more money to spend
I'll level with you, the best thing you can probably do is just select unlock all from the mod menu. in my opinion mods are supposed to enhance the gameplay not give a new list of chores. Isaac is obscure enough in it's unlocks that I just decided if I wanted to go for unlocks I'd do it in base game. play FF for the added challenge and added powerful items you'll have a better time
I completely agree with you. A big issue I have with the Isaac community is difficulty gatekeeping. If it's not very hard it's worthless and if you aren't good enough to beat it you are also worthless in their eyes. The Isaac community adopted the "skill issue" meme and spams it constantly any time someone has some trouble with anything in the game or a mod. Everything has to be made difficult just for them and they get very angry when people want the difficulty of something lessened a bit and want those people to go away. They claim the more casual players are selfish and greedy wanting everything to be catered to them but in reality they are the most vocal and want everything to be catered to them instead and think they are just in this hypocritical way of thinking.
I love Repentance but along with the higher difficulty it brought over a ton of sweaty hardcore gatekeeping gamers that only enjoy things if they're incredibly hard. If it isn't difficult they have zero fun. If you can't get every unlock with Tainted Lost or any other very difficult thing, you will be relentless insulted and chased away from all Isaac Discord servers. Before Repentance, the Isaac community was a lot nicer. Now I can't stand it.
also speaking as a person who has played other bullet hells, the binding of isaac is not a hard game, it's a bullshit game in many places
it's perfectly fair to not want to battle bosses that spam enemies at you because, you know, they make it legitimately impossible to fight the boss the "intended" way unless you have a good damage output or w/e. there's a reason why games of this type that actually know what they're doing rarely mix "randomly variable damage depending on run luck" and "bosses with the ability to spawn enemies with set health"

The eternal reward is a reference to Aladdin. Don’t know why the top comments keep saying its TF2. Yes the eternal reward knife is in TF2 but its referencing Aladdin.

It's really a pitty that don't even give an unlock or a true reward like an item findable in run or a character or anything, i was very curious about it but now i don't even want to do it. Only for an achievment, not enough
It would be good that in a future update, if you collect all badges in a normal run "somehow" (maybe with some item that makes appear the necessary bosses and "the gauntlet challenge rooms necessary for all badges") it can lead to a secret final boss, with a great difficulty maybe at the mega-satan or delirium difficulty level

I notice the badges are all rarity 4 items. Can you reroll them into something else? That would give you another tier 4 item if so. Could be a reason to go out of your way to obtain them in a normal run.
that is not how rerolls work. They don't keep their quality

well the room with dad's key is easily found, which would also make many ppl find the secret room. The rest would probably be discovered bit by bit

after getting a gamebreak to make sure you can trial and error the hours away to force the badges with mods making external item descriptions completely unreliable in predicting what you'll make :)
