What a security expert??How can Nigeria go and bomb Niger's troops if they move close to their border but remain within their territory?? A security expert in London talking about a potential conflict in the Sahel where may be he has never set his foot on! The Nigerien, Burkinabé and Malian armies have been confronting terrorists for over a decade in the Sahel while only a section of the Nigerian army has some experience of a similar sort with Boko haram! So attacking the combine of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali possibly with covert support from Guinea and Algeria ( who have closed their airspace to foreign military aircraft)be daunting task for Nigeria alone even with other ECOWAS countries unless they are given logistical and intelligence support by western powers especially the US and France who have been on the ground in Niger for years!! Please Network Africa, find credible and neutral experts to do the analysis so that your viewers and listeners can be better informed!

This so called security expert is talking without sense. How can you send missiles to civilians? You just think right without thinking left. You just think about ECOWAS and UN forces without thinking about Russia and Wagner group that could come to the aid of Niger. And again the citizens are in support of the junta because of the fact that France had exploited them for long and had made them to suffer.

Why bother integrating such an impoverished country into the mainstream of progressive nations if it chooses to wallow in misery under the rule of incompetent, barely literate, and corrupt ragtag "generals." masquerading as leaders without a concrete plan of action on how to uplift their people from extreme poverty. Empty and meaningless rhetoric will not generate employment and economic progress. What is needed are good governance, equality, social justice, the rule of law, accountability, democracy, and human rights. Enhance the five capitals of sustainable livelihood development: natural capital, human capital, physical capital, social capital, and financial capital to attain the new millennium goals of sustainable development: people, peace, prosperity, planet, and partnership. Soft and hard infrastructures go hand in hand to stimulate socio-economic development. Undoubtedly, the geography and climate in the Sahel region are not conducive to building industries to propel economic growth. There are no roads, water, airport, seaport, or other related facilities, not to mention technology and a workforce with high skills and knowledge. Who will invest in such a desolate region? It requires a miracle to turn the desert into an oasis of wealth. The different sectors must work collaboratively to bring stability. The military and police are tasked with maintaining peace, order, and external security. The civilian government must manage governance's social, political, economic, and cultural dimensions with transparency and accountability.

No African leaders have any seats in France or the America government to make decisions for their citizens for what to do, why France has to decide who has to be a president of Niger? If they that president, take him to your country (France) to be your president. If the Niger people are happy now or they need change, why France is not happy about that? I hope France people need to ask Macro what is doing in Niger. He needs to sit down and do agreements with the new Niger government than to cause a war in Africa because soon France citizens will be in trouble to travel to Africa. Macron needs to think about France in the future.

It's rich to hear Temitope Olodo say that nobody should think that they can step over Nigeria and that Nigeria is not looking for trouble as if Nigeria is the victim of this escalating military conflict. Nigeria threatens to invade another sovereign state and interfere in its internal affairs. No one asks why this is happening now? The West created the War on Terror because it has no excuse to have its military in the region after the cold war ended, The Russians are telling those people the War on Terror is a SCAM because the West doesn't want to really invest in the infrastructure they want to keep give them aid and take the resources and they use the war on terror as the excuse not to invest, they say we need to fight the terrorist first and years and years gone by and they keep fighting the invisible enemy which happens to be Muslim killing Muslim to establish Islam, the West will push others for war because it doesn't want the SCAM to be exposed.

It should first be for our interest as a country, than for any so called International Organization that all we have always done is keep make sacrifices for. This guy Timitope Olodo is so ignorant of present-day realities of international involvement in domestic governance, and his opinion justifying military encroachment in Niger is nonsensical. Enough of this rubbish about democracy in Africa. The question is who is actually benefitting from these types of democracy in Africa? By these types of democracy, I mean democracy plagued by civilian coupe as we recently witnessed in Nigerias presidential elections. Africa and Africans should wake up and defend their lands from the internal and foreign political predators that mask under democracy, hence support for these gallant military officers is patriotic and I stand with them as long as patriotism and Pan-Africanism remain their agenda. God bless these bold liberatos of Africa from civilian juntas.
