There is, but it is mostly underground. As you can guess, "real" house music is not mainstream anymore, it was replaced by EDM. But wait few years (5 maximum) and it will come back. Same happened to techno, after 10 years of total reign of minimal and tech-house, real techno has returned.
Lone and Machinedrum for example does way under rated house and old school. Take Lone - Temples, it like sounds it was done by Liam Howlett himself for Prodigy's Narcotic Suite on Music For The Jilted Generation Or Machinedrum doing authentic sounding Chigago footwork style with modern equipments and recorded in modern studio (I'm assuming)

This is a top notch song. But part of me feels that we've spent the last 40 years trying to prove to ourselves that though Disco was arguably the peak of music at its time, it was perhaps not the best... And we were wrong time and time again. Every single awesome beat is rooted in disco.
When I first heard this song about a month and half ago I feel in love with it its got to be my top 10 favorite songs who ever made this was a master at music !
