The brass thread is so long there are no sockets deep enough for them, it’s annoying. Please consider including two or three lengths of threaded rod considering some taps are hundred’s of dollars.
Nice video, it helped me to fix my own without the need for replacing the tap itself, only I replaced the rusty steel rod, Thx for sharing. Only one advice for whoever has his tap not stable in position due to damaged steal rod, is to replace the steel rod with a copper one, so it will not rust that quickly.
If you don't want the tap to come loose, don't use that flimsy horse shoe shaped clip that fits underneath the sink for the nut to screw up against, if the tap manufacturer can't come up with something more reliable to hold the tap to the sink don't use their tap.
There are taps that use a different fixing method and I have seen them, but can not recall who makes them, just avoid all taps that use that flimsy little horse shoe shaped fixing clip underneath.
Thank you for showing 2:00 to all of us, you guys are the real deal!
Which tool is used to tighten the screw on 2:18 ?
Horse shoe fitting and horse shoe rubber seal , just a tip , try a few drops of super glue and glue them together, this helps before fitting the tap .
