There's no requirement to make any statement about pads for disc brakes. Also, I just completed my onboard tests for pre-trip, backing, and driving. Every video I saw on TH-cam has WAY to much verbiage. You must complete the entire inspection in 30 minutes of less so you don't have time to talk. Forget about how you did pretrip in the past no matter if you are a 40 year driver or a 3 year driver. Say ONLY what is on the handout they give you on day one and say it as abbreviated as you can. For example, touch the inner wheel and say "inner wheel no welds no cracks". That's it. No need to say "illegal welds" on the wheels or the frame. No need to say "the frame is not bent". Just say "Looking at entire frame is straight no BBC". Can do your drives and trailers in pairs. The tractor should be done in 12~13 minutes so you have plenty of time for the trailer and air system check. I had a loose stretchy belt so I could keep my thumper (small claw hammer provided by the facilitators) with me all the time. My 1st day, I didn't complete the tractor in 30 minutes coz I was hung up on the way I was taught with Stevens and Schneider. After that 1st day disaster I pretripped my bed every night, every morning, and there is a lot of slack time during the day waiting for other tests; I pre-tripped my chair consistently. At first many of the 31 people in my class thought I was goofy, but you need to do what works for you if you want this. The facilitators are watching you all the time in the class. Who is studying and who has their head in their phone or just bull shiting around. Out of 31 candidates, 12 of us finished on Thursday and 11 had to come back on Friday. Some were drivers with more than 40 years of experience and did good on pre-trip but bumped a curb (there is no time limit) on the driving portion or bumped a trailer coz they didn't do that extra GOAL. I got out and looked 5 times my first try, 7 times my second try and 10 times my last try coz I knew I was on a razor's edge due to my 1st pre-trip inspection. You have a lot of time to back, 20 minutes and can afford to GOAL at least 7 times. Do it. The best of luck, If I can pass, you can too.
Eh Ecron! I’m gonna be goin to Utah for on board on July 8th. I’ve been listening to your videos every day, I’ve had my cdl for 3 years now it’s like a big refresher, thank you for doing these videos! And all the other ones lifting up our MAKER and Lord Jesus Christ! Keep it up!
Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together to help others be successful at passing their tests. God bless you.. you're a good man!! 😊
Great video brother this will definitely help its a great refresher thats for sure, I start my on-boarding in Spring Valley, IL on July 22nd will be working out of the Tomah, WI DC once I pass everything so this will definitely help out.
I went few months ago but I walked away I didn’t like that they time you for everything and they do pretrip way different then I got my CDL 27 years ago.
Just a question about the tires. DOT and tire manufactures all say to check psi, and not to use thumper, because it's not accurate. What's Walmart's policy ? Thanks
Yes, we have those cameras, but it isn't recording live. Only when you trigger it. You could talk on your phone while you are driving. As long you are not texting or touching your phone while driving. However, if you have an accident, they will check your phone records to see if you were texting when the accident occurred. If they find out you were texting and that what contributed to the accident. You will go back to the old phone policy, which is a 30-minute phone call on the drive line.
It's sad Walmart will disqualify some one for noy knowing how to perform a pre trip inspection, I have never seen anyone in 40 years of trucking perform a real pti inspection including Walmart drivers when the ten hour break is over the most you get is a light check and tires bumped
@@Smooth00E they changed that, you can’t use the paper and the changed the terminology on some of the stuff from your pre trip, but it still helped me, thanks!! There was 10 people in my onboarding 8 of us made it
How is this considered to be a good company if they will bring in 25 drivers who quit their jobs but only hire 10? Drivers shouldn’t accept that nonsense
So here’s what I did. I recorded this video on my phone with the voice memo so that I can play it through my headphones as I practice the pretrip.
Appreciate you taking the time to do this video.

Where did you pass your onboarding?
Thanks about to go thru the rigors of training, and short cuts are always helpful!!! Thanks again from Fort Pierce Florida!!!
what kind of backing did they make you do? basic 45 degree stuff or did they make you do a 90 with trailers in between?
Thanks for the heads up. About to go through it.
I go to onboarding in 1 week. This is going to really help. Thank you.
You welcome
Thank you ecron. God bless

If you want to check it check it
They don't do inter and outer hub Seals or leaks. And inner and outer Axel seals.
Interesting.
Yes, on the steer tires
Great video. 🎉 Do y'all have driver facing cameras? And do they still monitor the time you're talking on your cell phones? Thanks in advance.

The brake test is the only thing you could use the paper for
