If hundreds of thousands of people of all ages sat around in unison to see a character reveal trailer for the game, which they did, Smash Ultimate needs to be in there.
Just like they joked about with this being recorded in March and Echoes of Wisdom since then being revealed and likely replacing Link's Awakening, I think Super Mario Party Jamboree would replace Super Mario Party. The game's not out yet, but it does seem to be more like Superstars than Super Mario Party. Also agree with pretty much all of this list, happy to see Cadence of Hyrule and even Starlink made it in. Though Xenoblade 3 over Xenoblade 2 is an odd choice considering XB3 is greatly benefitted by having played the first two games while XB2 is much more standalone. Yes, XB3 can be considered the better game in a lot of areas, but it's world, characters, and story is also the culmination of decades of storytelling even beyond the Xenoblade franchise.

I can’t wait to download this roms in to my Neuralink
Jump Rope Challenge actually does kinda make sense if you meta game out the marketing/sociology angle for this hypothetical. It was a game heavily linked to COVID-19 lockdowns by virtue of the nature of its development AKA out in a time when this hypothetical audience would be kids or teens with a bunch of free time with no responsibility. Hell it was a limited release too so you'd have folks waxing poetic about how much time they procrastinated on Jump Rope Challenge but could never find the game again the same way 1990s & 2000s folks lament dead flash games now.
"the same way 1990s & 2000s folks lament dead flash games now." What a weird way to dismiss over a decade of young indie devs stretching their wings??
@@aturchomicz821 acknowledging the context in which the media is most frequently enjoyed (and the material reality of its accessibility to casuals that don’t know how to fiddle with emulators) isn’t the same as making a statement on its craftsmanship.
Now why would Nintendo put only ONE Mario Party game on the NS Classic Edition??? I’m pretty sure even the N64 Classic Edition will have at least 2 Mario Party games
Honestly a great list, but we need to replace Sword and Shield with Legends Arceus.
Pokémon Sword & Shield are not a traditional Pokémon experience because they changed how some Pokémon evolve to use things that existed in previous games without offering any sort of explanation either in-world or otherwise
Me: I'm finally starting to feel like an adult.
Scott: When I say kid, I mean people who just turned 20.
Me: 😢
53:40 and I thought I was the only one who felt bad about picking a plushie in a store then putting it back, or as Scott said seeing it starting to get rips and tears 😂
Yeah, it’s so stupid, but I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes.
i feel like octo expansion would also be a good addition to a switch classic
how is online dependency issue not brought up until Switch Sports and not during Mario Maker 2
1:07:16 I think instead of any of those we should just add Mario & Luigi Brothership and Metroid Prime 4 (Also do Echoes of Wisdom instead of Link's Awakening)
Honestly, if were talking 70 years from now, i could see them just putting the whole eshop on there, or at least the not shovelware ones
@@enorma29 you ain't gonna get shot If you say hentai, you know?
Honestly, if the switch classic mini was basically a switch lite but the size of a game boy advance, or PSP that would be cool
I think I found Scott's new catchphrase, “So, [Guest]”
Not putting Sonic Mania on this list was an epic fail.
Enjoyed this vid a bunch!
I would've picked Legends Arceus over SWSH,
And tbh I'd put Bayonetta Origins over any of those 2 Pokemon games
I know is not a typical Bayonetta game but is a cool little game that feels at home in switch and showcases the link that Bayonetta now has to Nintendo
I guess he wanted a traditional pokemon game for it, but SWSH you just flat out cannot complete unless you buy another entire console or if online trading exists
Literally most of Scott’s pick were trash man 😭
Didn't think I'd see Scott defend Sparks of Hope and Sushi Striker
With the potential breakthroughs with Telo, its scary to think that living healthy at age 110 doesn't sound so impossible.
"I'm a story guy" after saying "I don't like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" is the biggest lie ever uttered on Scott's channel 😂
fr
Fast RMX is an enhanced Wii U game named Fast Racing Neo. Basically a Deluxe version
I wish we had only one platform with every competitor making games on it but I remembered this is reality and not a fairy tale
You can tell Scott loves Pocket Monsters.
35:22 Scott’s out here EAGER to get cancelled holy cow
Probably the most controversial opinion I’ve ever heard from him
I would add Bayonetta 3 in there since it does have a censored mode so you could just apply a parental control to the console.
Honestly I think snipperclips should be in the main 30 games
Never thought I'd see the day an intelligent, oxygen-ingesting human being boxed Wario Ware in with Clubhouse Games.
I definitely think the final year games should be represented, though it seems like this was made before the direct that showed them off.
Links Awaking > Echos of Wisdom
Super Mario Party > Jamboree
Pokemon Sword > Metroid prime 4
And my personal bias take out clubhouse games for detective Pikachu
I liked Starlink and played it as a Star Fox game. Glad you guys included it.
