  • This Creo Parametric sheet metal tutorial video addresses a question on GrabCAD regarding placing a gusset in a part. To solve the problem, we create a part model to use as a punch reference model and then place it in the target part using three different methods:
    Locating manually with constraints.
    Using a Component Interface.
Placing with an Offset Coordinate System including rotation.

And what wound be the flat view after we've punched it?

It would look flat. Neither the Form nor Flatten Form tools take conservation of mass into account. It’s the user responsibility to ensure forms can actually be made in the real world.

Things you shouldn't mess with unless you're bending your own metal.

Try changing your model’s accuracy or open a ticket with PTC Tech Support.

Hi sir is there any exercises of part, surface and sheet metal pdf with you sir. If yes can you share link sir

I do not have any. Fun fact: the software license agreements we all sign to use Creo prevents people from creating commercial training without PTC’s consent. But I have no desire to create training content.
