I cannot testify about the life saving value of this sport directly, but my feelings about this activity and training is that it is an antidote to helpless Jews who have not defended themselves for centuries. It is a friendly way to connect to a martial art that is somehow familiar for Israel and its people. I believe that this man is sincere and inspired, and I appreciate this movement very much. May Hashem grant him only success and Shalom (wholeness).

Nice, fun presentation. It seems like with the years Aluf Abir Yehoshua Sofer looks younger and even more vibrant. The uniforms are also more authentic. Blessed is God who is restoring this wisdom to His People! May He continue to bless and strengthen the Aluf Abir and his students, and their positive influence on Israel's youth.

The Jewish Historian Flavious Josephus stated that one of the line of Cane, Tubal Cane, was the first person to make a sword and was very proficient in martial performance. I would say that this was the first martial art and the start of all the rest.

i met someone else who knows a an anciant jewish martial art , but differs from
the way yehoshua sofer put together abir.Abir was formed from his family tradition
and other far away jewish kihilas. from which he put together modern abir , of which he himself says in the abir website .This other man I met about seven months ago . In south fallsburg NY where
he lives learned from Makubul who he is
talmud of .,and called molochos hachayil
as was practiced bzman dovid hamelech.

It is an oral tradition passed down within Yemeni families who knew it, and the only way to learn it is to "receive" that tradition from one who possesses it.

I think this might be the origin of the secretive Philippine Martial Arts " Mongoose Style ", the moves, principle and applications are almost the same, it is a natural flow so effective, scientific, dynamic, an adulterated form of martial arts, yet deadly, it can subdue other form of martial arts.

  • @atzilus

hi again i am contuing where i left off, the man told me malochos hachayil is the real deal, it is babed on the alef bais ,but not csav ivris as abir is . But on csav ashuis which is what writen in a safer torah also the csav hashem created the
the world. It has dances call rikud alef bais where you move very slow like tai
chi, movie your hands in thape of letters
like alef or bais which called moganim.
like mogan alef or bais . each letter defence and aufence at the same time.

I want to sea a bunch of Jewish abir martial artits beat the shit out of a large group of neo-nazis. Jewish soldiers are tough, just look at their military victories. Did the Romans have any type of martial arts? Romans were a super power once, they also have a good military history. I think the jews used this against the romans if im not mistaken, who won?
