Good day, I just wanna ask for an inquiry about my case (eb3 ). I paid the fee bill of my dependents and My priority date is current since jan.2024.unfortunately, my employer abandoned us last jan.and on feb. I found new employer. They process my papers and recaptured my priority with the new case number.my question is do I need to pay the fee bill again of my dependentS?Because i just paid it last 6 mo.ago with the old case number.
Hello I have an approved i140 in EB! category, this approval came in Jul 2023 and the filing was done in Jul 20 2023. As the dates ave gone back, what are teh possibilities i have to get i485 filed? Coz i am on L1 and my visa will max out soon.
I got laid off. I have i-140 approved (EB2) and my current H1B expires on Apr 20th, 2024. However - my former employer filed for a H1B extension on Feb 20th, 2024 and this should take some 1.5 to 2 months to complete. Since i am in hunt for the job market - do i only have time till Apr 20th? Or is my status still active? If yes, what is the duration? I am currently on my 2nd H1B term at this time (6th year) My drivers license expires on Apr 4th 2024, Can I still use my existing I-797 documents for the same?
Great and very informative video, thank you Jing !! One question i have is, incase i am not laid off, but have an approved i140 from my employer. Do i need to wait for certain time period (like 6 months), before switching to another employer - if i want my priority date to be ported to the new employer?
You may want to leave your employer 6 months after I-140 approval since your employer could technically cancel the I-140 within 6 months. After 6 months, he can’t, the priority date will stay and to be claimed in your next I-140 filing.
Hi jing, I have a question. If I file my NIW i140 petition during OPT, if I am not selected the H1B in the future, can I still switch back to F1 to attend day1CPT school?
Great video. My I-140 was approved in 2021. I got married after my i-140 was approved, Since I am Chinese and has a long waitting time/years before I can file I-485. Just woundering if I use add my wife to the approved I-140 and use her birthplace to lodge1-485 application now since she was born from a country with much later priority date (later then 2022). Thanks
Hi Jing, It's been 8 months I'm out of USA, as my H1B maxed out in May 2022. Even 4 months after my I-140 approval, my employer not finding me a project. How can I negotiate with my employer to hold my I-140, while I resume my career with another employer, who's projects for me & are ready to do H1B transfer + extension. Please let me know how to approach my employer A to not withrdraw my I-140 in near future. Thanks In Advance (TIA). best regards, Vin

For fuck sake, spend 100-200$ and speak to a lawyer bro. Good luck.
I suggest you consult a lawyer on such a specific question.

I had a doubt about My I-140. If we take an I-140 how long its validity
140 is valid permanently.
