I bought mine in the early 2000's, still going strong. The Monster 2500 powers, two 31 band Eq's, a Behringer 1124P Feedback Destroyer Pro, two Hush/Rocktron 2CX Noise Reduction Units, two BBE 462 Sonic Maximizers, an ETA PD9 Power Conditioner, Digitech 2112 SGS, BBE 362, 482 Sonic Maximizers, two VHT Valvulator 1's, Hush/Rocktron Super C Noise Reduction Unit, a pedalboard with a Digitech RP-12, RP-1, two Seymour Duncan SFX-1 Pickup Boosters, Decibel Eleven Loop Expander w/ 4 foot pedals and Mosky Pure Buffer. The definition of the notes, while using my harmonizers are more detailed in either 2 or 3 part harmonies are full, separate with more space / ambience/ more realistic, delays, reverbs are more detailed. The 2500 has given me clean power, even at the most questionable electrical sources and protected my equipment very well since 2003.
Couple things Stef: 1st 16 gauge cable is lighter than 14 gauge....the lower the number, the heavier the cable. 2nd - While Monster has upped the ante against Furman, I will put my Furman PL-PRO DMC against it any day of the week. The PL-8 is the budget protection unit, you can't compare that to anything. However, if you really want to see a powerhouse, get the PL-PRO DMC. Amazing.
@DJDanInDFW If I am running a system with a subwoofer, I still try to have 2 circuits. 1 circuit for the subwoofer and lights. And the other circuit for main speakers and audio equipments. And there is a power conditioner for each circuit. If I have only 1 and need to run all that equipment, I try to run without the sub or keep it at a minimal...and not a chest pumping level =)
The taping in the power cords is a great idea. I am going to be doing that as well on my rack. What gauge are you using for the 1 foot extension cords?
Very good review, I like the way you did the tape thing very good idea. Quick question didn't the power conditioner came with labeling stickers as well?
i just got this 2500 today. i love it. but im getting a loud hum from my studio monitors. this is part of the reason i bought this in the first place. didnt fix the problem though. I have a dj setup and use traktor. when i plug the traktor interface(rca's) into the in's on the mixer the humming begins. do i need ground loop isolators?? or should i lift the ground on my imac???
I’ve had mine for 4 years, with only one drawback, the unit creates a slight humming sound through my EV speakers, but it is not very noticeable when playing music. Then, about a month ago, the unit emitted an alarm, and the whole unit overheated. The thermal fuse will need to be replace.
You've been watching Mikey Mikes vids on the way he secure his chords. he he I'm sure the monster conditioner is great since the chords they offer are flawless. I was sad to see a lot of the chords dissappear. I use a lot of the 1/4 inch chords I use by them. -DJ CD
So What do you do when you have everything plugged into one power conditioner and the Venue doesn't have breakers large enough to handle that much current and BLOW?
I agree! Unless these extensions are pretty well shielded which is what the Monster is supposed to do by shielding for noise and electromagnetic interferences...
My friend had one of these and had no idea what it was. I bought it from him and use it for my home theater. Noticeable difference.

Thanks for the great video. I was researching power conditioners and I think you sold me on the Monster 2500.
Awesome demo! I'm still deciding to get 2500 or 3500, but your demo really helped me.
congrats on the addition, plenty of great tips in this vid!

why did you go with this type of kit rather than CDJ's?
Can this unit eliminate hum or noise from power home supply?
Very nice video. Very helpful. :-)

buy a second one.
i have no idea why any manufacturer would design the plug ins to be side ways like that instead of right side up.
Nice set up but i do not recommend those extensions from the unit

Very good video,Thanks Bro.

You''d be a lot better off with a Zero Surge or SurgeX
Upgrade again, to SurgeX which is an eliminator not a suppressor, do some homework, check it out.
mc lovin
I will bye the old one from you
