- Zephyr is a captive-born gray wolf at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. He is one of the three 'ambassador wolves' at the WCC that help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

@@chicawhappa Considering sexual dimorphism (differences between male and female) between wolf sexes is not usually noticeable until you are comparing them side by side (males are *slightly* bigger than females), I have no idea what you're talking about, there's hardly another another wolf in frame to compare, but whatever lol. I always thought my dog was a little silly for mistaking a police/fire truck siren for another dogs howl, however, if you listen to the wolves in the distant they sound almost identical to police sirens!!!
I used to live next door to this old basset hound, and he would let loose every time the train went by or a fire truck, it was hilarious

My (Native American) naming ceremony was held in the Grand Tetons in during a very cold Winter. The snow was deep as we hiked in to the location that the ceremony was going to take place. When the Medicine Woman said my name , loud thunder was heard over head. A pack of wild wolves that were near by starting howling! We sung Prayer songs, and the drums were beaten with gratitude. It was a beautiful and powerful moment for us!
