Frontal cross-section area is small when compared to other millitary helicopters which is unique in a way in its aerodynamics
Good to see manufacturing unit are getting boost in India especially when you have such large consumer base. Revolutionary changes happening in mobile manufacturing, semiconductor, electric cars, indigenous weapons. It may take time but after 10 years results would be fruitful

It took 23 years since Kargil War to finally develop these helicopters
Kudos for bringing in LCH, it's proud moment for India and a great push for Made in India initiative. But how reliable the chopper would be in high altitudes as we can see in ongoing Russia-Ukraine war that far advanced combat helicopters are shot down if flown at high heights and also if a stinger shot from any of the two sides other than the back of the helicopter tail the chopper would go kaboom since Anti-missile flares are shot from the tail of the chopper.
I would suggest DRDO to innovate more high altitude flying combat drones where a bomb can de dropped on a pin point target and can also help in giving clear direction to our artillery at high heights as we can learn from Ukraine fighting techniques. Drone Units can be assigned to highly skilled SFF at borders.

This must carry a larger wing and more weapons which would improve over the air time, performance needs to be enhanced,the frame looka cool and modern.
It is a light combat helicopter made for combat in high altitude, so they can't make it heavier than this, but i saw somewhere that a heavy version of this helicopter is in design process.

It's time for making own fighter jet engines, heavy helicopters & heavy fighter jets.
Engine development is going on. That's the main bottleneck
Rate of production of these helicopters is to be speeded up. Just manufacturing 30 helicopters per year is not good enough, it should be stepped up to at least 60 per year.
250 per year minimum. Get the components manufactured and assembled in different private companies too, keeping security & secrecy in place.
Vishnu, a correction,the rocket pods do not have anti tank capability, you need a ATGM rack for that. Though It is indeed a great engineering achievement , would love to see one of the birds with a ATGM and also that in action.

@@anuragdwivedi5581 , I have seen the Drdo broucher in African Defence expo which says 16 ATGM but no video with the 16 ATGM launch configuration or test.I have seen test of LCH firing MBDA air to air missile and also 70 mm rockets as well.
@@Satyaamevjayathe there were news of Helina getting tested from lch some years back. I read in an article. I haven't watched any video though. But as Helina is so light that 16 missiles combined wouldn't exceed lch maximum take-off weight. So maybe it can carry 16 of these.
NDTV is sad with indegenous weapons, Arms brokers are the on the top list of NDTV journalists. with Modi in power, defence imports are cut down to significant extent with ATMANIRBHAR policy. Hope the tech dependency will end, india has bright , young engineers who with some encouragement from industry ad govt can develop the best of the cutting edge technologies.

In changing war scenario a drone is less detected than a big machine, for high altitude a drone with 2 ton ammunition will make alot difference than an 20 or 30 million $ helicopter.

How can you show indegenious aircraft inferior to other aircraft. By putting caption like RNDTV.
LCH is capable to hunt down enemy helicopters, tank, artillery.
The fact that the Electro optical sensor is mounted on the top rather than below may hinder its sensing capabilities for an attack helicopter that is mainly used for ground attack. Also Missile warning sensor is a must if it is to see battle. However it is a proud moment for us Indians.
