    Recently, I have been through a 365-day journey in the rainforest of Vietnam. Using only natural things and primitive skills, I have to create shelter, find food and drinking water for survival. My goal is not simply to survive for 365 days, I also have to create conditions for long-term survival in the forest.

      @@teeess9551 wow its almost like the techniques being used by the guy in this video and primitive technology have been used for 1000 of years! its almost like the stuff on primitive technology is not new concepts and are shared by everyone on the planet for 1000 of years before developed civilisation. That's why everyone uses the same techniques because there is no better way to do something that humans have perfected for generations. Look at any channel that does tribal/primitive tech survival and you will find that everyone does the same thing :/

    • @jediprice70
      @jediprice70 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@teeess9551 This comment makes no sense. You can't steal techniques on how to do something. If I have a channel where I teach people how to write the alphabet, the next person who teaches how to write the alphabet will do pretty much the same thing...and so will everyone else.
      Showing me how to fix my Windows PC will be the same also, for the most part. How can I teach someone the ways to change my icon sizes on Windows without doing it the same way everyone else does it?
      Plus this IS the Primitive Technology Channel. Did he steal from himself?

    Всё конечно хорошо, парень молодец. У меня неразгаданными остаются следующие вопросы:
    - Стрелы для лука. Таким образом оные никогда не делали. Наконечник у стрелы должен быть обязательно, если данная стрела не заводского типа, где наконечник представляет собой металлический набалдашник. Для оперения в тыльной части стрелы, для лучшей аэродинамики имеется прорезь, в которую вставляется оперение и проматывается особым образом;
    - Когда наш Ворошиловский стрелок выпускает стрелу в рыбу, и сразу же извлекает её из воды, рыба нифига не дергается. Уж я то повидал, как на рыбу охотятся. В том числе и с лука. Рыба первые минут пять просто бьется в конвульсиях до изнеможения. А тут её вытаскивают, а она уже дохлая;
    - Исходя из процесса обжига глиняных изделий, в особенности черепицы. Тут авторы видео спалились по полной. Мы видим, как первые фрагменты погружают в печь для обжига. И здесь возникает сразу два косяка. Во-первых обжиг глиняных изделий с древних времен осуществляется не в открытом огне, а в очень сильно разогретой печи, например Русской. Во-вторых, ну раз уж авторы сами этого захотели, черепица, помещенная в печь при таких условиях должна быть черного цвета о сажи, что мы и можем наблюдать в одном из эпизодов, где камера даёт четкое изображение, находящейся в печи черепицы.
    - И напоследок самое вкусное. Парень находит куриное гнездо. Хорошо, допустим. Он забирает гнездо и ловит квочку. А теперь вопрос знатокам: Откуда взялись два яйца? И здесь тоже две причины, как они могли появиться. Первая - свежие яйца были заранее приобретены и подложены в гнездо. Квочка никак не могла отложить их, поскольку у неё вылупились цыплята. А на период возложения природой на мать-куру обязанностей по выращиваю потомства, она просто теряет способность к производству яиц на время, пока их пушистики не начнут оперяться. Вариант второй. Он тоже связан с подменом яиц. Если в гнезде было 5 яиц, вылупились только трое, то оставшиеся скорее всего уже улетели к своему куриному богу. Не вылупившиеся яйца в народе называют покладами. В них зародыш перестает развиваться и погибает, но микроорганизмы начинают делать свое дело, выделяя очень сильный запах сероводорода. Поэтому, когда такое яйцо вскрывают, оно делает бу-бух, и тут же пошёл незабываемый аромат. Я это не с проста написал. Сам с пяти лет приобщался к физическому труду и ведению домашнего хозяйства на протяжении 20-ти лет. И всю эту кухню, ну более - менее знаю. Вопросов нет проект хороший и интересный, но такие огрехи ставят на нет, тяжело проделанную работу.

      When he starts making the axe and his hut, watch that part (up til like 17-18 min ish) and then watch primitive technology’s og video of him making his tiled hut and turn caption on. You be the judge.

      In primitive technology’s video he makes the tiles and puts them under a wood shed to keep out of rain, and says this in his captions. This guy in his captions says the same thing verbatim, but doesn’t actually put them in a wood shed… he’s ripping someone else’s work. That is my problem. It is not that I’m not impressed. It’s clearly hard work, but it’s not original work. It’s him copying to the highest extent you can. He could’ve done this and said “I used primitive technology’s captions for better English” and given some credit and this would all be understood. But he just stole it.

    Someone else mentioned that “all the channels like this need to get together and make a village” but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. There’s channels like this, that show the technical side and explain everything with captions, there are the channels that use nothing but a tool per person, baskets and pots to either carve or construct elaborate structures. If they could all get a cohesive design theme and work efficiently(not in the sense of fast, in the sense that they use eachothers leftover materials and use certain materials at the same time instead of wasting energy on small batches) there’d be something great. Combine all the words you always find in their channel names and video titles to make the ultimate real life survival multiplayer: Primitive Technology Survival Construction Idea

    I feel like as a ceramic artist, this vid is even better somehow for me. I don't think most people understand that while it looks like he's just slapping mud together into pots and cooking it, everything can potentially crack and break before its done, or after. Even his pinch pot skills are beautiful. His pots and dishes are actually wonderful for just going by eye, out in the woods, on a rock for a table. Only difference in how I'd make pots is putting big broad leaves between the pot and the rock, not just ash, because the big problem with big clay projects on smooth surfaces is that even when dry, they can stick terribly, and any minor twist or flex in moving them can crack and shatter them.
    I'm actually very curious how one of his big pots broke later, that he ended up using for pans.

    • @VinhNguyen92
      @VinhNguyen92 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      because that pot is likely a commercial product bought by the production crew somewhere else. Look at the color scheme of the broken pot and notice how it is different from the roofing tiles although they're supposed to be made from the same clay source with similar method and heat level. This video is entertaining to watch for sure, but the authenticity of the whole process being "primitive" is highly debatable.
