We have people that imported giant hogweed (causes third degree chemical burns) multiple types of stinging nettles, several verities of Black Berry vines, poison oak, poison ivy and in certain areas it's an actual temperate rainforest. We have mostly conifer forests which are prone to very heavy undergrowth, we have a very dense soil with a ton of clay in it, which is useful in some ways, but also turns into a morass at certain times of the rainy season. Am I saying the area they are in is perfect? No. Am I saying the area I am in is the worst? No. I am simply saying that for me to do something like what this gentleman was doing, I would end up immobile in about 10 min due to wearing sandals.
