Still have my father's Colman Lantern in hard shell case ready for the next power outage! Of course we supplement with modern LED lanterns, but the Coleman has served our family for over 48 years now and is still running strong. Loved the video!
Excellent walk through! Thank you! I found an old 220J to us for fishing, camping, and outages. This will definitely help in making sure mine is ready to use.
I'm in the middle of doing this to my 220J right now. Mine was also in really good shape for being made in 78 but wouldn't burn bright so she is getting a good cleaning. Great video and Thank you for making it. The vent is porcelain that's why paint remover didn't work. I never mess with the paint or porcelain. The scratches and chips give it character.
👍🥃☕🍷🍺🏆👍 Your channel is so interesting. My grandparents had similar lamp but it "disappeared" many years ago... P.S. Good to know that retro electronics and technics attracts so many viewers which means there is chance for other similar channels...
Hello great video - I am restoring a saved (old farm barn cleanup had these being thrown out) a 220J and a 220K. The generator is missing completely on the 220J and the 220K is missing the cleaning lever. Parts are not available - what do you suggest. Both are missing flint assy too - hope not all is lost.
Hey - I have a model 220J that has good pressure, but won't light. you can even see the gas pressing on the flame of my lighter. any thoughts why it wouldn't light?
Excellent video! Thanks for all the sweat spilled on teaching all of us.
You’re welcome.
Very nice Video ! Now i knows how to handle it ! Thank you very much ! 😃
Glad it helped!

Thanks, while we now have backup generators, the lamps are still on standby during hurricane season in several areas of the property.

Good Job on the Video - Quick and to the point. You only need to turn your wrench the correct way, so it gets tighter on the nut as you apply force.
Ok. Thanks

There is still a large interest in such lamps and stoves that run on naphtha.

Great and helpful video. What spray did you use to strip the paint. Looks like it worked like a charm?
Something like aircraft remover or equiv. will work with no problem.
Thanks

If i had a voice grip maybe I could get this thing apart! 🤨
or a vice...
Good work. Thanks for the look.
No problem 👍
