Thanks Ronnie. We don't like to take big risks, only manageable ones! If you haven't already done so, could you hit the bell on my channel. So close to 500...many thanks.
Definitely a wise call not a place for ego the mountains 🏔️ wet rock can be as bad as ice especially on sharp edge and the like Enjoyed have a great weekend 🤠👍🏔️ Regards Simon
Never do sharp edge when it’s damp, wet, snowy or even moist, it’s deadly. I got a little way along in the winter a few years ago and something in my head told me keep going and you will fall, I turned back immediately, summer is lovely.
Sharp Edge is straightforward in winter if you have crampons. We did it up and down in January 2023. It was beautiful, but just too short! I'd do it again in the snow anytime, although I wouldn't go near it when it's wet. Coming down, however, we first passed those with crampons (having no problems); then, those with micro spikes (also having no problems); then, those with boots (looking a bit precarious, although luckily the snow was quite crunchy); and, finally, the lads in trainers, slithering around all over the place.
I admire you for showing the sensible thing to do.

I have crossed it once and turned back once and its a wise call .
Thanks for watching Peter. Andrew
Sharp Edge can be lethal in the wet , and windy conditions , and not to be underestimated anytime …………take care , Cheers DaveH
Been there and done it a few times.
Also have turned back once as tooooooooooo slippey when wet...dangerous.
Right choice :)
Thanks for watching. There’s no shame in retreating is there? There’s always another day. Andrew
Great video, just subscribed from a fellow TH-camr. Good advice by the way, never take unnecessary chance’s. 😉👍
Thanks for the sub! Really appreciated. We do metal detecting as well but it seems our outdoor videos do a lot better! Andrew
Yep. Someone fell from there a few days ago and died.
Yes, I read about that. Very tragic
Went up blencathra last week but avoided sharp edge , still a good hike
Lovely. It’s my favourite hill. Hoping to go back soon
Good choice.
Thanks for watching Keith. Hope all well. Andrew
Really easy in warm and dry conditions. In the wet, it's like climbing a dolphin that's been dipped in Castrol GTX. Absolute nightmare. Good decision.
Brilliant description sir! I shall return in dry conditions. And thank you for dropping by and commenting. Andrew.
Best decision, it was still a great day in the great outdoors.
Hi John. Thanks for watching. It’s a lovely spot to explore. I imagine you’ve been up on your bike plenty of times. Andrew

I agree Tony. Thanks for watching
