    The fact that her husband went thru all of that and still is trying to forgive the killer just shows how genuinely good of a man he is. He and his wife didn’t deserve that

      No, they did not. They were betrayed by someone they knew and trusted. No one deserves to be betrayed that way and I hope Loyd thinks about what he did to his community (fraud, embezzlement, murder, kidnapping) while he awaits the day he goes before the ultimate judge to receive his eternal punishment.

    I understand why they would suspect the husband, but I don't see the logic behind saying, "We couldn't find Sam Wagner ... therefore Roberts must've made him up and kidnapped his own wife."
    Or, you know, the kidnapper could've made up a fake name to lure the husband away from the house... just a theory.

    Arggh...have no idea yet "who dun it" but I gotta say, getting kind of tired of people INSISTING that other people grieve to THEIR satisfaction and taking no public displays of grief as a sign of either guilt or lack of feeling. How about it's a case of you don't get to see the pain simply because the person doesn't think you should? Not everyone is a drama queen and not everyone believes that 'sharing is caring' when it comes to private emotions. Personally, just like the old adage "Never let them see you sweat", "Never let them see you cry" works for me. I fall into the category of "I don't trust you enough with my feelings" to indulge in, as they say, 'letting others in' randomly. Been there, regretted that.

      He may have faith, but then again, what claim can one not believe, based on faith ? It really isn't a way of establishing truth. Really just wishful thinking here. He accepts that a universe creating superbeing watched his wife get murdered, and chose not to intervene, but will see them reunited because they will both survive their deaths. Sounds a tad far fetched. I think your morality is way better than this gods.

    I love how police develope evidence to suit whichever suspect they think is guilty.

An elderly woman, Dow Robert’s vanishes in a small town called Eads. Then just before that a man named Sam Wagner rang Alan Robert’s about a property. Later another caller rang the husband Alan and demanded a ransom of hundred thousand to release Dow. Police found there was no Sam Wagner in the locality. Police also questioned Alan Robert’s the husband. Then a church member Charles Lord became an intermediary between the kidnapper and Alan Roberts. In 1993 Charles Lord was interviewed again by the police. Seen before !

    • @007Moron
      @007Moron 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Actually, it's the LOVE of money... that's at the root of all evil. A lot of people misquote that. I have money. I'd like more, but I'm okay with my little stash because I don't really want more than what I've earned. I don't crave, desire, and COVET money. I don't LOVE it. See? In Lord's case, he wanted to get out of debt. But, his PAST crimes reveal his LUST... LOVE for money. It's why he stole it to begin with. Then, he committed this crime to get out of debt and to hide his embezzlement crimes.

This is bc the purpose of abundance is so one will hv enough to share w/others w/out it putting them in a bind. Same concept as the scripture u mentioned. How selfish, wicked & evil is it to possess massive wealth & not help ur fellowman? How is it that one w/millions & billions of dollars would not wake up every single day & decide to help their fellowman? To be rich & generous is admirable but to be rich & selfish is pure evil. Its not money itself thats evil, it's loving the money & allowing ur greed to cause u to not be willing to help others that makes you evil.

    Something doesn't add up here. As we have seen many times, in such cases the FBI ordinarily obtains a set of personal questions from the husband/relative to be asked of the abductor to prove that the victim is still alive. That did not appear to have been done in this case -- either that or the episode producer chose to omit it.
