"We've stopped to talk with you because you're out of the norm... so it you'd like to explain yourself." 19 words that should scare the sh!t out of everyone.
Welcome to "the ends justify the means" rationale...
The camera scans AND CAPTURES the faces and compares them againat a database. That means they are, in fact, recording images. The fact that they are subsequently deleted, regardless of the time interval between capture and deletion, does not mean they weren't recorded, just that they weren't retained for a lengthy period of time. It would not take much to simply "forget" to take the last step of deleting the images. Nor will it be long before we see abuses of the "wanted" status for this technology as we have seen in the Licence Plate Reader technology.
Even if you cover your face the technology is getting that advanced, if you are a person of interest that's being monitored, it can actually recognise your gait and your physical dimensions.
It's getting very deep
Maybe someone could commercially produce Wayne Couzens masks that everyone could wear when the facial recognition vans are around. That would just be hilarious
" People We put Into The System", whether you're wanted or not.
They all know their mate Wayne Couzens , don't make me laugh
Brilliant stuff. Well done.
why dont they park it in the middle of the crime ridden estates
because they would have to do some work
Why don't they actually look for burglars and thieves?
The more this is exposed the more people will cover their faces!
