He might've not been their for your whole life but at least you were there for his, I'm sure he's having an amazing time in heaven watching down on all of you wishing the best of luck for the future to come
Looking down with pure infinite Love, and with kind appreciation for the life you gave him, filled with fun, adventures, healthy food and living, Nature, friends and flock - and always, Love. You gave Bandit all Thank you for sharing this wonderful little guy with us, he touches many lives. Love to you 💚🐦💚johanna
I don’t know how long he was with you, but he was quite a character, One of life‘s hardest lessons to teach is when death comes how hard it is to keep moving forward, all the unanswered questions why now what was the cause sometimes it’s best you don’t know sometimes it’s best that you do but eventually you will find answers to your questions.
"it's almost like thier lifespan is a promise" that got me. You get a bird and in your mind your planning for what happens when YOU die, not them. And when they die it's so confusing.
I saw this and I knew I shouldn't watch it.. I knew I'd cry through the whole thing but I wanted to know what happened. So I'm sitting here crying like a baby about a bird that wasn't mine to be honest I think bandit was in the first video I ever saw of yours .. People just don't understand how it feels to gain the trust and love of a bird - it's not easy and it takes a lot of work to build that trust which you have done with all of your flock.. I absolutely get it... Praying for healing.....
OMG this is such sad news to wake up to. I am so sorry, guys. My sincere condolences from my entire flock to yours. Bandit has flown over the rainbow bridge and is now part of the light! Love you both. Hugs! Xoxo
I’m brand new to this channel. I’ve just joined, and I barely have even seen this bird. Yet I am still crying, and I never, ever cry from movies or videos or TV! Rest In Peace, you beautiful little Bandit
I'm the same way about crying.. I've seen Bandit grow up on this channel.. I'm a mess.. I better get it together my Oscar (mini parrot) will be wondering what's wrong.. The dogs already suspicious...
I just lost my conure after 28 years. She was my best buddy from when I was 12. I found your videos trying to figure out what to do next. Thanks for all of the great content and sorry for the loss of your birdy.
This comment made me cry, I’m so sorry for your loss. Sounds like your conure was very sweet, and loved. I’m sure she’s looking down on you from up there thanking you for being such a great buddy to her. Rip to your bird and bandit, the bird in this video. ❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss. You have given your bird the best life and so much love. My cockatiel Panchito passed away as well. I had him for 7 years. He would always sing to me when I would come home from work. He would go nuts when he would hear my car go “mee-meep”. RIP to all of these feathered lovelies 💜🦜
Sorry for your loss. I too am heart broken . I accidentally stepped on my green cheek conour, Floki, killing him. He couldn't stay away from my toes and I had serious premonitions about this happening. I shovelled my feet constantly around my apartment trying not to step on him. Sadly it happened. Seriously heartbroken 😥
My grey passed away yesterday. She was 29. I’m just sick and somehow your video helped. I can’t stop crying. I’ve knew her longer than I’ve known my husband. Thank you for sharing this. It’s nice to know I’m not the only person who bawls like a baby about her bird. ❤️
I feel very sorry for you my beloved sky blue budgie indie passed away this month im heartbroken and just devastated i feel your greif and pain i miss the contact with indie she used to sit on my shoulder all day i had to put her to sleep at the vets the hardest thing ive had to do in my life indie maybe gone but she wont be forgotten till we meet again
I know this is old but hope you get this. Just lost my beloved Co to African Grey March 8, 2023. He was still fairly energetic and talking but had lost some weight so had an avian special es at a university vet hospital He came through all the invasive tests but got weak from not eating and the stress and he damaged his beak in the process. On the way home his beak injury caused him to die. He didn’t seem to be in any pain but just quickly faded. I am totally devastated. I had him 24 years and he was my constant talking companion every single day.I can’t seem to move forward and he and I were constantly engaged. I can’t do anything at all without his voice and sounds constantly playing in my head. I didn’t realize how much space he took up in my mind and soul in a moment by moment basis. I don’t think I can live without my little guy. Not only did I enjoy his company but I told everyone I knew about my awesome wonderful bird. I really don’t know how to cope right now. I can’t imagine daily life without him.
Just so people know, especially Jamie and Dave. Bandit has helped me in some bad times. I watched old videos of him which made me laugh and helped me. Thank you Bandit. I will miss you even though we never met. You live on in my heart. You will live on through memories.
Thank you so much for this video. Tofu, my severe macaw, passed away 8/9 from respiratory problems. I don't feel so alone about how I'm feeling. To non-bird people - "It's just a bird." I couldn't find anyone to relate to. Thank you.
I *hate* people who tell pet parents "it's just a bird/cat/dog/etc." Its great for them they can be that detached from the emotions of losing another living being that they shared everything with, but some of us can't. Some of us realize that even though they can't speak & express themselves like a human does, they are still a living, breathing, thinking, feeling being that has wants, needs & loves. Some of us see them like children & we love them *deeply*. I'm so sorry you lost your feathered baby & I'm sorry people weren't understanding and fed you that B.S line.
It's not Just a Bird and I'm sorry if anyone said; that to you. Tofu was your baby that you loved and took care of and I'm sorry for your loss Johnny Nguyen. The best and only good part of losing a pet is "Thank God he gives us Memories to live on in our Hearts". I hope you find comfort in that.
I just saw this . I was crying the whole time with you.. I really love your birds... Don't feel bad.. he is just flying in heaven and watching over you... Love you.. be strong
The first video of Bandit I came across was Bandit throwing himself off the bed. I was laughing my head off. this then led to me evaluating if I could take on an African grey. I then looked into the implications (good and bad) / adjustments it means to my life (no holidays abroad). After seeing the video of Bandit throwing himself off the bed, I subscribed to BirdTricks. I haven't looked back since. After at least 8 years, I got the chance to re-home a 10 year old African Grey. That was five years ago that 'baby' came into our lives. loving every minute of it. My wife now has an Indian Ring Neck and is a subscriber to BirdTricks also. Your advice has really helped us both. We will miss Bandit boy but we are so thankful for all of your video's So were very sorry to hear the bad news. please, please continue posting. you and Dave's advice is so helpful and I am sure you have helped other owners too. keep up the great work
Yall take quality care of your birds. Sometimes things happen. No one was to blame. Even human children are occasionally lost due to unforeseen and unavoidable incidents. Grieve. Thank you for the help you provide bird owners all over.
You guys care so deeply for your birds. The fact you've put so much effort into trying to find out what happened is proof of that. I hope the pain is easier for you now, though I know it will never go away.
So sorry for your loss, he had an amazing life with you, He was loved, happy and cared for, which is all we could ask for in life. He will be missed terribly, cherish all those beautiful memories of him.
I'm so sorry for your loss of Bandit. Seeing that last clip of him, I wonder if Bandit knew. He kept saying night night and I love you. That poem was beautiful.
I don't remember the first video I saw with Bandit, but my favourite moments were when he was chatting non-stop. That little robot voice! A little while ago there was a video where he was 'helping' edit videos and it made me laugh so much because he just had to give his opinion on everything 😄 it was Bandit's talking and whispering that made me encourage my own birdie boy to start whispering and asking for his opinion on videos. I'm so sorry for your loss of Bandit. He was truly a character and a very special boy. ❤❤❤
That poem was sooo beautiful . I'm sorry for your loss . You do amazing work for all of your bird and help many other bird by teaching there owners the right way to feed , love, and keep their birds safe . Bandit was such a joy to watch . Keep doing what you do 🤗 xxx
Ill never get over the death of my green cheek Ducky. He was my child. He died on my birthday this sept 1st. My heart aches for him and will never recover. Iam so sorry for your loss. I can feel your pain. My heart breaks for you all. I know this was 2 yrs ago. Does it ever get any easier? I hope so bc i feel like my chest is going to burst and i cant breath. Your so right about having to explain it. we cancelled my sons bday party tm bc we just cant handle talking about our sweet baby and what happened. It hurts too much. My eyes are swollen from crying so much. I wish this wasnt real. Love and prayers friends. ❤ RIP sweet Bandit.🦅
Quite literally no one could have given him a better life than you did. He lived as long and as wonderfully as he did because of you, and I'm sure no one could argue that he couldn't have chosen a better family to spend his days with. I'm so sorry for your loss, and while I know the grieving never stops, I hope you quickly get to the point where most of the time you can think back on him and smile with fewer tears and not-so-sharp an ache in your heart.
Rebecca Stout hi I’m a big fan and I’ve always wanted a cockatoo or a galah and it shows me I don’t need one because I can always watch them but this video made me feel like a real owner and I don’t want a cockatoo anymore because I can’t suffer the loss also tell onni I said hi 🙂I just thought I’d say hi
@@outbackzak1500 Yah this killed me. It's terrifying to realize how fragile they really are and how fragile life can be. I lost a bird before. Tika. Hardest loss outside of our parents in our entire lives. I don't think we will ever get over it. It was just horrible.
I know it's a year later but still, I am really sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is really hard, especially if you have a bond with them. Fly high little Bandit. We miss you
Your home, your care and love and your entire setup you maintain for your birds is obviously top notch. If something was amiss and your place had something wrong with it then your entire system would completely break down. But it is thriving with healthy happy birds and animals. The unknown is just so hard and upsetting. Were Bandit living with the top avian vet in the world it seems to me that the same scenario of his death would have played out. You are clearly amazing owners. Take care.
Oh my goodness, I started sobbing the second I read the title. I'm so, so very sorry for your loss. I'm sending all my love and healing thoughts and I hope you all know we can wait for you to grieve properly and we're here to support you through this hard time. ❤ His antics have made me laugh a million times over the years and I watch video after video whenever I need a spirit boost. We'll miss you, Bandit Boy ❤
Bandit’s videos with you inspired me and drove my passion as a vet to understand birds and give them the care they deserve. You are incredible owners and I use your channel as an example on what birds needs for current or prospective owners to try and give them the wonderful life they deserve. You guys are amazing, and sometimes we just don’t know why they pass, and that hurts the most. Using his death as a chance to improve what is already an amazing set up is wonderful. I know so well the pain of losing a pet, My thoughts are with you all. Xxx
Well said! It is so valuable to learn from experts with the kind of passion they have. I can imagine it is like losing a child in an accident. Nothing can prepare you for the loss. God bless you all and your flocks. ♥️🙏
We lost our budgie as well we had him for one week and loved him so much!!! Ever since we brought him home he was so loving and he would let my daughter cover his little body with a small little tiny blanket to keep him warm. He would go back to his little cage whenever he wanted. Soooo cute. We loved him so much even though it was just for a week but it was a week of such beautifulness with him. We miss you snowflake!!! Thank you so much for bringing us such happiness!!! That was his name. I’m sorry for your loss.
@@luceroascencion Thank you, snowflake sounded like a wonderful little bird... reading this made me sad. Wishing you the best and sorry for your lost friend...
Same. It happened to me a few weeks ago and I did the same. You don’t understand the term heart wrenching until you’ve really felt it. We had him for a year and one of the worst parts of it was his bonded brother was devastated and it was awful to see him that way.
I’m just so very sorry, Bandit was a beautiful boy and you really gave him such a beautiful life. He (and you) was beyond lucky. I lost my cocktail who I had from when I was age 8 to age 30 and that little man was my world for 22 years. That poem was heart-wrenchingly perfect. We will see our boys again. Until then, we hold onto the beautiful memories. Sending much love to you. ❤️
Hi guys, I am a former vet nurse and I have allways had a special interest in animal nutrition. Also grew up with birds in our household and I currently have seven birds. I just recently joined you, so I have not yet seen all of your videos. But something came to mind upon seeing this now, finding out that you lost him. First let me just say that I am so very sorry for your loss. It is the absolute worst part of being a pet owner. This might be just a coincidence of course. But still, I would like to mention it to you, so that you can look into it, if needed. In one of your videos when you film in your kitchen, by your countertop... I noticed plenty of packages of brown rice right next to you. And I did not want to question it, since it might not even be something you use to feed the birds. But, if it is for the birds... Then you need to know this. Brown rice (fullgrain) contains high levels of arsenic, picked up from the soil where it is grown. All rice do, since it is naturally in the soil. But brown rice has been found to contain the highest amounts. So much so, that it is not even recommended as an every day food source for humans (larger body mass) in my country (Sweden). For this reason also, we who work in this field, can not recommend rice to be used for dog and cat food. Arsenic poisoning is not easy to pinpoint and may cause other secondary diseases as well, so it is tricky. Maybe you know this allready, but if not, now at least you do. So I hope you skip the rice, both for you and possible your birds. Lots of love from Sweden. ❤️🙏
I did notice that too. I felt in my gut something was not right with packed, microwaveable brown rice. I even thought it was for Jamie and her family and not for the birds. I really had a bad feeling seeing that brown rice so much that I told myself that I would never give that to my bird. Jamie and Dave put in a lot of effort in research for their birds. I hope they read your comment. Thank you for taking the time. I am actually going to screenshot your comment. God bless you.
I just found your channel and have to thank you for sharing you have help me with a lost that I had .it wasn't a bird loss but a fur family member I cared deeply about. I don't have any birds but I'm watching and leaning from you before getting one .I know it's hard to share your feelings with the Public , But I wanna say thank you so very much For sharing and teaching us .
I am sorry to hear that you lost Bandit. I know how hard it feels. I just lost my Blue-fronted Amazon some hours ago and are crying over her. I was giving them the regular evening treats and water, they drank and eat as usual on top of their cage. I waited for them to finish eating before putting them back in the cage for sleeping. After less than 10 minutes I heard something sounding like a cat and I went to the cage and there she was lying inside the cage on her back. I went for a towel to put her on when taking her out of the cage but she was already gone. It just took like 1 to 2 minutes from fully healthy and screaming to she died. It is very little phlegm around the nostrils. I haven’t noticed any signs or red flags, rather the opposite. I am very surprised how fast it did go and there was no time to do anything. I just wonder if she choked on something. She was a kind and fun bird, sometimes throwing things from the cage and screaming just to get my attention. She was too heavy to fly but used to climb down on the floor and then I should lift her up on the cage. When I gave them some treats she was always very thankful and showed me how happy she was for it. I have had her and the male almost 3 years and hoped for a long life together. They are both rescue birds that I did take care of. During this time we have grown together and functioned together and with the other birds much like a family. I am disabled and alone so she filled my day with a lot of joy. The male is sitting and looking at her where I have put her on a towel in a box. Think he is grieving in his own way. Kajsa became 12 years old and are really missed.
Words cannot begin to describe the loss. We are all so sorry for your loss. I loved the poem. We are all praying for you. Extremely hard video for you but a blessing to all of us.
Been watching your channel for a few weeks now. I have never cried so much for the loss of a bird that wasn’t even mine. Losing a feathered friend is the WORST. I hope and pray that you and Dave have found healing through such a painful experience. Even though it’s been 2 years, I imagine it’s still very hard. I have a 25 year old cockatiel that has been a part of my family for his whole life. I’m scared to think of what life will be like when he leaves me so I want to make sure I give him the best chance to live as long as possible and he gets the best of the best. Going to your site to find the best diet right now! I love him so much.
Sorry to hear of your loss… Appreciate the openness in how much you're investing to finding out why Bandit died, but I don't think it's worth investing in -- as much as you may be filled with guilt, anxiety, and grief. You said it yourself that parrots are exceptional at hiding illness/weakness, post-mortem isn't your area of focus (and apparently _they_ may not be able to give you answers yet), and all your birds are in amazing, top-form. You're all giving your birds an amazing, healthy life, and continue to do so in future. I don't mean to derail the point of this video that Bandit's parting has been very difficult and upsetting, it's heartbreaking to see you both in tears over this, and his glowing personality was one of my favourites!
OMG I'm so so sorry as I sit here crying with u. I will definitely hug my boy when he wakes up. I hope u find piece and happiness soon. Bandit will be missed and he had such great love from u guys
🙏🏻 I lost my son to cancer seven years ago, to a rare cancer . Even though I know what caused his death , I think why him, what cause him to have cancer , why did it happen when he was so young, and on and on . I cried with you . It never stops hurting , sad to say . But we go on . Hugs , and prayers to all of you
I’m so very sorry. I know several parents who have to live with what you are living with. My pain for them is so immense but NOTHING like what you parents are living. My heartache may be immense but not the same as yours. I lost the love of my life suddenly, 2 1/2 years ago. Ten days before our wedding. We had found such love and happiness and then he passed away. My grief drowns me at times because he’s no longer alive. I’ve lost both my parents and that was hard, BUT in my opinion, there are different levels of grief. A parents grief being the absolute hellish. Losing your mate being the next level of hellish grief, below the grief of a parent when their child passes. Then below losing your mate, is the loss of your parents. Everyone handles grief their own way and I’m sure I’m not completely right. All I know is that my heart breaks for parents whose child-children pass away. I know a dear family who lost 3 precious girls due to a wreck-less driver. How that family has endured is definitely a testament to strength. I wish you peace and comfort always. I believe our loved ones are in a better place and we will see them again. Take care and much love to you.
In sanskrit there is a shloka " Pithrashoke Shadmaasey, Mathrashoke Vathsare , Barya Shokey Punar Bharya Putra Shokam Nirantharam" Grief of Father's demise will be there for a 6 months, Grief of Mothers demise will be there for an year, Grief of Wife's demise will be there till the new wife comes but Grief of Children's demise is forever 💔 this is so true 😥.
For Jamieleigh, I am a relative new comer to your amazing channel, since having my own cockatiel. I haven’t lost a bird but I have experienced sudden death of a pet and of my Dad. After spending years pulling everything apart about what went wrong ,what could have been done differently, but I now feel , (and am sobbing as I type) that death is a part of life, that hurts, that we never get over, but we learn to live with and our heart becomes bigger, and we love deeper each time the pain turns to remembering.Im a huge Doctor Who fan, and to quote The Doctor “ We are all stories in the end, just make sure it’s a good one” and Bandit’s story certainly is, and will be for generations of bird owners forever. Heal at your own pace my friend, prayers and love from Beccy xx P.S Don’t be afraid to take personal time away from the camera if you need to , we’ll understand!
I'm so sorry for your loss 😔 I fully understand how it feels to lose a feather friend, I hope you and your family will get through this hard time Bandit was extremely lucky to have an amazing family like you
May there be comfort in knowing that we understand the pain of your loss and know just how much you cared. May your happy memories comfort you at this time of grief. With sympathy. RIP Bandit, with love. 💟
I only recently discoverrd your channel and have fallen in love with you and your flock. My hearr goes out to you all. Bandit was so endearing and will be missed by all his fanfriends. I did wonder how the loss of one of its members affects the rest of the flock. My heart goes out to them as well.
Sorry for your loss. I recently lost my best friend, Sheila, my Australian cattle dog and I know just what your going through. I have never owned a bird but I have been trying to make up my mind about which bird I wanted. My decision was between green Cheeked Conure or a Indian Ringneck. After watching Bandit my mind is now made up. He was something special and I hope when I get my new best friend, a Galah it will be as even half lovely as Bandit was. I am a 49 year old rough arse bloke, but I was moved to tears watching this video. I see your vid has many thousands of likes and 90 thumbs down. What kind of a person would watch this and do that? It amazes me and just goes to show how much better than some people animals can be. Thank you so much for sharing your story at this very sad time. It couldn't have been easy, I don't think I could have done the same. RIP Bandit.
What an amazing tribute to such a beautiful, majestic creature! I’ve just recently found your videos, and saw my first Bandit video right before finding this one. For only knowing him a minute, the tears did not stop flowing, for the love you both had for him shone through greatly. Thank you for sharing his wonderful moments, and yours of grief. Your love for your babies could never be questioned, as it is as evident as the air you breathe. Xo
I cried with you both the entire video. I know trying to find fault in what you do to find an answer is a natural reaction, I'm still going through that, after losing my Dad in June. That being said in my heart I know it's nothing you did or didnt do. You and Dave are incredible with all birds, not just your own. You guys give your birds an extraordinary life, full of everything they could dream of, so please try not to blame yourselves, even though I know it feels like the easiest thing to do. I pray you get answers, but if not you know you loved and cared for him his whole life, and nobody could ask you to do more than that. Stay strong and take all the time you need to heal your hearts. We will all be here for your videos whenever you're ready. Sending so much love to your whole family, flock included. Love, A subscriber, Follower, Patreon, and Project bird supporter. ♡
I'm crying with you guys, I'm so sorry. I can't believe he's gone, he was so cute! 😭Sending you love and hugs, he had a great life thanks to you guys, you did everything you could for him, God bless your hearts! ❤️😥
I'm so sorry about Bandit. Thank you for seeing this as a learning opportunity for the rest of us and sharing yourselves in such a sensitive and vulnerable moment. I hope your family is able to have closure on what happened.
I have been watching your channel every day and every night because I find what you do to be so fascinating. I never realized how complicated it is to train the birds because I never realized how many different kinds were out there. I think you should do a segment on what birds talk the clearest and on down the line to the ones that talk but are a little harder to understand and, well, stuff about different kinds of birds speaking different kinds of ways and how you go about teaching them. I live in south Texas and twice a day I have parrots (up to maybe 100) fly by and hang out in the trees and on the high lines. I swear I heard one say, “hi” one day. Anyway, keep up the good work and thanks for teaching your daughter to love the birds too!
He is flying high with angels in heaven! Hope you can find peace my dear. Please don’t feel guilt we all know you always ALWAYS gave and did the best for your birds! Sending much love love love ❤️
I have always been impressed at how well your animals are cared for and loved. You guys go above and beyond to make sure they are happy and healthy and it shows. You set an excellent example for the rest of us. Bandit was lucky to be part of your flock and you were lucky to have him. Miss that burrito.
I am so sorry for your loss, I know this might not help, but just know that you are not alone. We lost our parrot 2 months ago tomorrow in a sort of similar way. No answers.. We were and still are so broken. We know what it wasn't, but not what it was. And it's so unfair I know, but sometimes we cannot control things. I really do hope you find answers, you learn and help others avoid losing their feathered babies, but if you never have answers, just know that he had a wonderful life! The memories you have together will never die. Good luck, I truly hope you find answers! Much love!
This broke my heart.. losing a beloved family member like this is incredibly difficult. I had a rescue bird for a weekend and was crushed when it passed.. you and bandits life together would only make it that much more.. *hugs through the monitor*
I know how you feel, my cat Tommy that we had for like 7 years was knocked down by a car a few weeks ago, were all with you and your in my prayers. RIP Bandit
Jamie Leigh, Dave & Capri: I am so sorry that Bandit has gone to heaven. I am crying with you, literally. One thing I know-He was a well-loved bird. May God comfort you.

BirdTricks I’m so sorry got your loss! Myself, and my young son love your channel, your birds are amazing, and the care, love, and dedication towards them is inspirational. Your knowledge regarding birds, ie feed, training, tricks, flight, behaviour ect ect is impressive, we’ve learned soo much from this channel, amongst others , (but BirdTricks is our favourite). Losing a loved one is NEVER easy, whether it be animal, or human. Things happen without explanation, and sometimes it’s just random, and there are NO answers. It’s so easy to blame yourselves, and pick everything apart you do. We lost our best friend, the little brother I never had, a few days before his 32 birthday. He’d been ill for a year wasting away in front of our eyes, the doctors and hospitals COULDN’T find out what was wrong with, no matter how many tests or exploratory procedures he had. There are still NO answers. When losing a loved one, and part of your family, we just have to remember and focus on the memories, the times shared, the happiness, joy, and sad times shared. Sometimes I think God recalls them as their souls as they’re needed elsewhere. Don’t blame yourselves. sometimes things just happen, and there’s no rhyme not reason for it. He was a fantastic wonderfully talented, and loving soul, heaven will be a better place with him there. RIP Bandit Boy x Best wishes from Weezy (London) UK
Hello guys,I have just started watching your bird videos a few days ago. I have discovered a profound and deep connection to birds I feel which I didn't know was there and I'm now 51 years old,I must say I feel for you guys. You have my deepest sympathies. He will be forever in your hearts and souls. Keep up the wonderful work you do.
I'm sorry for your loss of Bandit. On the good side, Bandit would never have had a better living environment than what you two provided. ...I only have two parrots and to lose either would be devastating.
The first video I ever saw of Bandit, was you dissing/roasting him. And that just makes this 10 times more beautiful. Because it shows that even tho you could hate on him, you still loved him
The legacy Bandit leaves behind and how much we have all learned from your videos with him has made such a big difference in so many of our lives, maybe more than you will ever know. I am so sorry that you have to suffer this loss, but believe me that the love and joy Bandit has brought to your lives (and ours thru your videos) will always live on.
I’m sorry for your loss this is always hard, losing a family member and a friend. You need to remember that you gave bandit the best life possible, you can’t blame yourself. Remember the good times you had with him and cherish those memories. Let yourselves mourn and grieve, it’s part of the process. We’re here to support you, whatever you need we’re here, and we’re here to stay.
You guys are awesome. I’ve never had a bird but your videos are very entertaining. My heart breaks with yours right now. Thank You for sharing your passion with us.
Omg I’m crying so hard! I’m new and just now seeing this. My heart goes out to you! You two are such incredible knowledgeable bird trainers and I look up to you both! I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss!!! I know I’m super late!
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. I’m so glad that you have your flock to help you through this. We love y’all, please don’t feel like you have to keep up with posting when you’ve run out of prerecorded stuff! We all understand 💕💕
This is very unexpected, I can’t believe it. We’ll miss you forever, Bandit. You will always be a great birb to us. Condolences to you and your family, because you treated him like one. I’ll always miss him.
I just started watching your channel, but I love all your videos and what your doing for birds, there families and trying to teach people how to love these beautiful creatures. I’m so sorry for your loss. This video has me crying like a baby.
So very sorry for your loss. I loved the poem. I hope you find comfort in knowing that Bandit is still strutting his stuff and is flying higher than ever, nothing can hurt him. Lots of love to all of you.
Just proves you are as human as all of us. He had a wonderful life & don't beat yourselves up over unforseen circumstances, sometimes we are just loaned angels . I've learned so much from u & Dave so please keep doing what your doing & sharing your love & knowledge. Love to u all xx
I have lost my bird for two weeks ago. It happened suddenly. I was in shock since and it made numb my feeling. I couldn't even cry because it's too sad and painful. My world has turned everything gray without him... Then, I found this video today. Your poem just busted my heart. I cried so much and finally started to accept the fact he is not here anymore. I will carry him in my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for your video. Rest In Peace, beautiful Bandit. Love you both so much.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. This video broke my heart into pieces. I can feel your pain and understand how difficult this is for you to post. Thank you for sharing this heart wrenching tribute to your beautiful beloved Bandit Boy. You both are so amazingly strong, even though you might now feel that way right now. You said you didn't want his death to be in vein. By you posting your inner most feelings while you grieve, you have given us such a beautiful gift by doing so. So I say thank you for this tribute and again I am so so sorry for your loss. Just know that when you feel a gentle brush of your cheek, it is your sweet angel Bandit Boy. God Bless you both and your entire family,,, feathered or not. 😪😪😇😇🙏🙏
😭😭😭😭😭 I am so sad for you, your family and your flock. There are no words. Bandit flies free over the Rainbow Bridge. The poem is BEAUTIFUL and powerful. 💔 love you so much and feel your pain.
GRIEF IS THE PRIZE WE PAY FOR LOVE.......I know this was a long time ago, but I relate to the guilt one feels when losing a beloved pet. Your channel and your family is amazing and brings me a lot of joy.....just got my first Quaker parrot and use your methods. Sending you a very belated comforting hug from you old hood, Florida.....
Thank you for sharing your story. Thanks for opening up SO much and letting the story be told. I will not tell you how to grieve, everyone is different. I do appreciate what you do SO much.
Hey guys, I am so sorry 💔, I just heard and I started crying. I can only imagine how upset you are knowing how much you love your avian children. All birds want to be part of your flock, they all know just how incredible you are. Grieve that he isn't with you any longer but cherish the time you had with him. Stop 2nd guessing yourself and decisions you made, he ran out of life, he didn't run out of love. The 3 of you provided him enough love for 100 birds. I am so sorry, he will be missed by so many. I think my favorite Bandit was the love he showed your daughter, he kept a close eye on her. I thought that was so cute, you guys were free flying outside of Moab and he would come back to her. You could see in his eye how happy your daughters excitement made him, he would fly to her and she would get so happy that "he came to me", and his face was "yep, I made her happy." I am sending all three of you positive healing energy and love. There is nothing you did wrong, you provided Bandit with love, great food, quality care and peace. He couldn't have asked for anything more, he loved you as much as you loved him and he was happy. Thank you for sharing his life with us, he is a special bird and will be missed by many. I am so very sorry. RIP Bandit, we love you. With sincere compassion and love, Mark Houberg-Lawton Sandy, Utah
Aw this is so sad. I just discovered your channel the other day. The Cockatoo video being one of the first I watched. And even though my introduction to him. Was him dive bombing you. And glaring at you lol. I already was fond of the little dude. So sorry for your loss.
It is such a joy to watch you with these birds as i can see the joy and happiness in both your faces,, may the future bring you more happiness as you are having now xx sending big hugs to a genuine couple xx.
He might've not been their for your whole life but at least you were there for his, I'm sure he's having an amazing time in heaven watching down on all of you wishing the best of luck for the future to come
What a kind sweet comment.

Please don't worry about producing videos for us ..... take the time you need to heal .... we'll all still be here when you are ready ... xxx
You are so kind. Peace and love from Ireland mo chara.
"it's almost like thier lifespan is a promise" that got me. You get a bird and in your mind your planning for what happens when YOU die, not them. And when they die it's so confusing.
It's no coincidence that birds and Angel's both have wings. Fly high bandit 🖤 ~ Lots Of Love, Wren

Hugs! Xoxo

Man I cant deal 😢😢😢 , rip bandit boy. This video just hits you in so many ways. These guys didnt just lose a pet. They just lost a family member.
True!! Pets are Family too! Will Miss Him!
I think it hits a spot where it reminds you of the losses you've experiances when u see other people loose their pets. Atleast that's how it is to me
I am very emojnel with every thing and this is to much for me my perants even asct me if I was okay. :-(

I am so so so sorry for your loss
🙏❤️
I’m so sorry about your Gray. Mine is 13 years old and I really hope that she is with me for my whole life.
What happened?
I feel very sorry for you my beloved sky blue budgie indie passed away this month im heartbroken and just devastated i feel your greif and pain i miss the contact with indie she used to sit on my shoulder all day i had to put her to sleep at the vets the hardest thing ive had to do in my life indie maybe gone but she wont be forgotten till we meet again
I'm so very sorry for your pain. My Conure is 28, so I can't imagine what you are dealing with!
Thanks for having the courage to share this painful moment guys.
Thank you so much for this video. Tofu, my severe macaw, passed away 8/9 from respiratory problems. I don't feel so alone about how I'm feeling. To non-bird people - "It's just a bird." I couldn't find anyone to relate to. Thank you.
I'm sorry for your loss Johnny ❤ RIP Tofu❤
I *hate* people who tell pet parents "it's just a bird/cat/dog/etc." Its great for them they can be that detached from the emotions of losing another living being that they shared everything with, but some of us can't. Some of us realize that even though they can't speak & express themselves like a human does, they are still a living, breathing, thinking, feeling being that has wants, needs & loves. Some of us see them like children & we love them *deeply*. I'm so sorry you lost your feathered baby & I'm sorry people weren't understanding and fed you that B.S line.
My heart goes out to you as well Johnny. No, Tofu wasn't "just a bird", he was part of your life. Warm hugs to you as well. I know the pain very well.
I am sorry about your bird brother Tofu. I hope for the best for you in the future.
R.I.P Bandit. He was my favorite bird. Thank you guys for giving him an amazing life.

So true. Even I love.mine love bird 😭
I am so very sorry. I am at a loss for words. So unexpected. We love you and will keep you in our prayers.
We will miss Bandit boy but we are so thankful for all of your video's
So were very sorry to hear the bad news. please, please continue posting. you and Dave's advice is so helpful and I am sure you have helped other owners too. keep up the great work
Yall take quality care of your birds.
Yes it was :-)☆★
He's flying higher than he's ever flown before, I'm sorry for your loss
RIP sweet Bandit.🦅
Quite literally no one could have given him a better life than you did. He lived as long and as wonderfully as he did because of you, and I'm sure no one could argue that he couldn't have chosen a better family to spend his days with. I'm so sorry for your loss, and while I know the grieving never stops, I hope you quickly get to the point where most of the time you can think back on him and smile with fewer tears and not-so-sharp an ache in your heart.
Omg , I clicked this as soon as I was notified. I'm at work tearing up right now omg. I'm so sorry you guys jesus 😥😢😢😢
I'm in shock and just sick over this. I am so sorry.
Take care.
Omg Jamie, I'm crying for your family watching this! I'm so sorry for your loss! May he R.I.P
when I lost my budgie i dropped to the floor in pain. losing a bird is one of the worst feelings ever.
Absolutely true.

Is basmati rice ok?
I just found your channel and have to thank you for sharing you have help me with a lost that I had .it wasn't a bird loss but a fur family member I cared deeply about. I don't have any birds but I'm watching and leaning from you before getting one .I know it's hard to share your feelings with the Public , But I wanna say thank you so very much For sharing and teaching us .
I was already crying before i even reached the 2 min mark. 😢
I am so sorry for your loss. Lots of love to you and your family.
Tommy I ' m sorry to hear about your loss.
So sorry for your loss :(
I am SO SORRY for your loss of your bird Tommy. That is just not fair to loose what you love. Its heart breaking😭
Thank you for the beautiful poem. 💜
Sorry to hear of your loss…
Appreciate the openness in how much you're investing to finding out why Bandit died, but I don't think it's worth investing in -- as much as you may be filled with guilt, anxiety, and grief.

Heal at your own pace my friend, prayers and love from Beccy xx
P.S Don’t be afraid to take personal time away from the camera if you need to , we’ll understand!
Oh my! I cried through this whole video! So brave, and kind to share this for other bird owners.
I am so sorry for your loss. it is obvious in all your videos how much you guys care for him and how important he is to you
I'm so sorry for your loss 😔 I fully understand how it feels to lose a feather friend, I hope you and your family will get through this hard time
Bandit was extremely lucky to have an amazing family like you
May there be comfort in knowing that we understand the pain of your loss and know just how much you cared.

I just started watching your channel and was not prepared for this. I am so sorry! I am balling my eyes out. What an amazing little guy he was .
Much love!
So sorry for your loss ! I cried the whole time of the video
RIP Bandit
I will miss his whispers and your laughter, when he does. I fell in love with him.
I am so sorry for your loss.
RIP Bandit Boy x
Best wishes from Weezy (London) UK
Hello guys,I have just started watching your bird videos a few days ago. I have discovered a profound and deep connection to birds I feel which I didn't know was there and I'm now 51 years old,I must say I feel for you guys. You have my deepest sympathies. He will be forever in your hearts and souls. Keep up the wonderful work you do.
No one is lost as long we remember.
Bit cliche but true
I'm sorry for your loss of Bandit. On the good side, Bandit would never have had a better living environment than what you two provided. ...I only have two parrots and to lose either would be devastating.
He was so loved -- a very lucky birdie in so many ways. xxx May he fly free with his Aussie mates,
The first video I ever saw of Bandit, was you dissing/roasting him.
Hugs. I’m so sorry. Thank you for sharing even though you don’t have answers. Birds are fragile beings and sometimes we just don’t know.
I’m so sorry for your loss. We will keep bandit in our prayers. Take all the time you need
You guys are awesome. I’ve never had a bird but your videos are very entertaining. My heart breaks with yours right now. Thank You for sharing your passion with us.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. I’m so glad that you have your flock to help you through this.

Oh my, you guys. So sorry to hear about your family's loss! Sending you all the most heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. ❤️
Just proves you are as human as all of us. He had a wonderful life & don't beat yourselves up over unforseen circumstances, sometimes we are just loaned angels . I've learned so much from u & Dave so please keep doing what your doing & sharing your love & knowledge. Love to u all xx
I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words.
Omg I’m so very sorry for your loss!!
I can’t believe that happend. So unexpected and unfair...May Bandit Rest In Peace
I don't have birds and probably will never but I love these videos you guys make. But this news, I feel the loss, RIP Bandit, what a character !
I’m so sorry, I can’t imagine how hurt you are. Don’t blame yourself, there are sooo many unknowns & sometimes it does just happen. I’m so sorry 💗
Hey guys,
I am so sorry 💔, I just heard and I started crying.
You could see in his eye how happy your daughters excitement made him, he would fly to her and she would get so happy that "he came to me", and his face was "yep, I made her happy."
I am sending all three of you positive healing energy and love.
With sincere compassion and love,

My favorite moments of Bandit were when he gave kisses. His little, “I love you!” That was the cutest thing.
