This was truly helpful as I am in the process of getting an embroidery machine anytime soon. This I see is an old video, but her knowledge lives on . May she rest in peace 🙏 ❤
Nancy and I sort of “grew up” together. I didn’t know her, but as a military wife, I made sure we got cable so that I could find Nancy. I am a better sewer because of her techniques. I was taught by my grandmother but some of her techniques I was able to show my grandmother. I always gave Nancy her do. I still record her shows but somehow it’s not the same. I miss her. RIP dear Nancy and thank you for being and inspiration!
may she rest in peace, a very very talented lady.i wish i knew half of what she knows bout sewing. she is the one that truely inspired me to get the babylock evolution & to sew.
Thanks Nancy for remembering those of us who have the smaller hoop machines. I have a Singer Futura, although one design may be limited in size by my hoop, with continous and smaller designs, the possibities are endless.
Oh, esto es tan emocionante! El bordado es muy divertido. Espero que les guste tanto como a nosotros. :) Sique mirando. Estamos haciendo mas videos bordado pronto.
i love to do tablerunners, and do continuous embroidery, how about one day u can use the continuous hoop that comes with the babylock machines. U r a very good teacher. be Bless.
I've enjoyed watching this video. My problem is that I don't have a machine like yours. I have a conventional one. Is it possible that you can show how to do this same embroidery with my type of machine please. Thanking you in Advance. Stay Blessed. Love it. I wish I had one like yours. I rarely see them down here.
+Toto LoBue Hi there! The one featured above is the Ecru Hemstitched Table Runner, found here: www.nancysnotions.com/product/hemstitched+table+runner+16%22+x+72%22+ecru.do?extid=ythtv&code=NNOADV-1320
Using an Elegant 2. When I put my border hoop in the machine, it tells me I have to change hoop size. How do I override this. My book doesn't say, either.
+Susan Jackson Hi Susan, Rita, our Embroidery Club instructor, thinks it sounds like you may need to install the software that comes with that particular hoop. If you purchased your Elegante machine at Nancy’s Notions Retail Store, give them a buzz at 800-725-0361, or if you purchased it at another location, call your Baby Lock dealer for assistance with installing it. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking--and good luck!
No. It doesn’t. Modern machines already have a magnet in the bobbin area holding the bobbins case in. Just tap a metal scissor there and you’ll feel the draw.
+Marie Keegan Hi Marie! I double-checked with our sewing advisors, and we only carry Snap Hoops that will work in Brother or Baby Lock machines. Please contact the manufacturer, Designs in Machine Embroidery, to see if there is a Snap Hoop available for your Husqvarna. Here's a link to their website (good luck!): :) www.shop.dzgns.com/ -Emily (www.nancysnotions.com)
I'd like to know where I can get a machine like that also a Serger too? They would make my life much easier. I saw them, but when I tried to source it, I couldn't find out where I can purchase. Please help me out if you can.
+diana diamond Have you gone to a local sewing machine shop? That would be the best way; there you can try out the machines in person and see more than one type of machine and will give you options. :)
Little confused about using a magnetic hoop. It is my understanding that using magnets on computerized machines was not a good thing.. Could someone nicely explain how this is safe to use? Thank you
You are fine. They will not bother your computerized machine. Do make sure that the magnetic hoop you use is supposed to fit your brand and model of Embroidery machine. And, they are not cheap.
This is an old video, I hope somebody reads my question. Is Edit & Stitch a program Nancy sells? Would Pfaff 4D do the same thing? Sorry if this is a really dumb question. Thank you.

Dear ....Peace be to you I would like to know what brand of sewing machine which you use in you demo vid . Title is Continues machine embrodery" Thanks a lot
Hi Stephanie! Here is the link for a Monster Snap Hoop--I think you'll really like it. :) Be sure to scroll down through the overview to find which hoop is correct for your machine: www.nancysnotions.com/product/monster+snap+hoop+4+x+4+baby+lock+brother.do?extid=ythtv&code=NNOADV-1320
The top frame that's sold separately has an even stronger magnet (so it's perfect for thicker fabrics like terry cloth, etc.). The Monster Hoop is sold with the regular top frame, and is suitable for most fabrics. Hope that helps! :)

I had been looking for a machine and when I saw this one I knew it was the one I wanted. Ordered mine should be here any day
Very concise instructions. This looks so much easier with the magnetic hoops. Thank you.
Magna and Snap Hoops are machine specific. Under the Magna Hoop, there is a model, MH00040, that will fit the Viking Designer SE.
Thank you for showing this. I am new at machine embroidery and I am having trouble figuring out how to do this with my designs.
This embroidery would look beautiful across the edge of a skirt.
Thank for teaching Nancy.
Nancy is using the Baby Lock Esante.
Great video! Thank you, it was nice to have the instructions slowed down. Sometimes, it is difficult to keep up.
Miss you Nancy
