- Cascade Lake in Idaho has been gaining in attention the last few years across the Ice Belt in the USA and Canada. Do not forget your Jaw Jacker when you are heading to this lake. Each year we go it seems there are more fishing groups out on the ice in search of the monster perch that roam below the ice. We have met guys from all over the place out there. Even though you may watch this video and think we had an amazing day fishing, most other guys were getting skunked or only catching a handful during the same time period. To make sure you are able to catch some fish when you're out on the ice there try some of these techniques to improve your chances.
Thank you Brandon, for another great video of professional quality! Watching the action you've presented here is second only to being there with rod and jumbo in hand.
Tom Crutcher wow thanks for your comments. glad you enjoyed.
Wow!
Congrats on those Jumbos Brandon!
Fish Tail TV thanks
Those are some monster perch!! Loved the video
Koltyn Piller thank you very much
Can't get away from your videos, ha! Just love the enthusiasm happiness & fun you guys have! Just like big kids! Lol.. 😆. I bought some Perch style Rattlin raps & Slab raps to try out next week. Can't wait! Sure hope we can get into them. Looks like you guys are a couple hundred yards away or so from the Island (east or west from it?). How deep are ya?
Keep up the great fishing!
You estimation of the size of this lake is a little off. That island is a little further than a couple hundred yards. I measured on the chart and we were 1.5 Nautical Miles from the island to the North West direction.
great vid once again .
Wolfgang marz thanks for watching!
So do they still taste as yummy as the smaller ones?
Taste like perch to me.
Awesome Jumbo Perch! 👊👏
Thanks
Woo Dude. Dude. Did you see that big o crack in the ice right behind ya? Woooo, must be the El Nino.
Not sure what crack you are talking about.
I was just teasing, on a serious note, it was very clear the ice was thick and safe
Where exactly on the lake were you fishing?
It's a big lake, I couldn't tell you where I was exactly fishing 2 years ago. South of Poison creek, north of sugarloaf on the west edge.
Hereee fishy fishy fishy!!!! Nice video!!! I loved you running with the tripod!! That’ll be me tomorrow
Glad you liked it good luck out there!
How thick was the ice in April? Nice Vid!
I was never there in April. I've only been in January and February.
those make albertian perch look like weaklings... Great vid again man!
Yes it's fun catching these ones they actually put up a fight.

Yup you are correct... just slowly ticking away.
Nice video! Man those are some big perch!
SkidooMXZTNT thank you!
Great Video as usual. How thick was the ice this time of year?
JDT_Adventures this video was from middle of February and it was about twice as thick as last year. about 20 inches.
Do you find you get sunburned easily without a hat? I always get the worst on overcast days, not clicking that it can still happen
Jmichael Isbell oh yeah I usually get roasted out there on the ice. usually try to wear some sunscreen on my face when it's like this. wearing a hat doesn't cut it cause the reflection gets you!
Yeah, same on the water, hat, sunglasses AND sun screan I think
Those aren't perch, those are monsters.
You should see the ones we got this year. Not sure how much video I got but will put some together and see what happens.
Nice!
