Heated headlights on my 2016 Freightliner Coronado Glider. Why aren't LED headlights good in winter?

- LED headlights are bright and more energy efficient but, they don't produce heat from the bulbs so allow snow and ice to build on them. Wath the video and I'll explain.

Thanks Lynn. She got good news on her GI Specialist blood work. So far God is letting all the results come back so far just tiny things and not what they were expecting to see. GOD is good.

I opted for the low budget unheated ones too (4x6 4 of them ), same problem . I'm not in snow or sleet too often, tried spraying em down with WD40, helps a little but not like those heated ones. 👍

I drive an 07 coronado... looking to upgrade my headlights too. Im sure something has to be different between the years but very cool upgrade.
your coronado is the same body style as our gliders, first generation. 2011 was second generation for non glider trucks from freightliner.
Where did you get your bracket for mounting the headlights? I’m looking to get the same mounting brackets you have.

Hey man which headlight bracket are you using to hold the headlight in place? Because freightliner said they have nothing that fits 7inch LED only the original headlight assembly.
When I replaced mine back in 2016 I never saw a universal bracket but they have them now.

How do they light up at night ,I'm interested
I have people flash me quite a bit thinking I have my high beams on but I don't. I even have them adjusted so they are on the road not pointing higher than spec.

I think they work really well.
Those inner lights need to be cleaned up or replaced ….looks like they have cataracts 😆😆😆
How did the heated lights work out?
I had snow last week running a Ross I-68 and no build up at all

Hi whatcha up to hope all is well prayers 4 healing and unspoken also 4 everyone and bless great healthy peaceful safe journeys travels and happy hauling in the name of the Creator God and Yeshua / Jesus that art in Heaven Amen much honor and respect keep walking tall and keep on keeping on true it looks good but terrible in design headlights freightliner needs to bring bk the classic with up graded headlights kinda like petebuilt did in built-in the hood / finders and or built to have interchangeable headlight designs to give customers customizing options cool lighted cross and cool truck u got keep praying and walking tall always also lil trucker advice not that u need it just lil bit from driver seat while driving use the center line of ur hood close to the end of the hood / nose line it up with the white line on the hwys / roads this will put ur truck in the middle of ur lane it wrks with dotted lines too this way u don't have to guess all the time where ur truck is however there r times u just have to hold on lol u know what I mean lol any who cool truck and keep'em rollin' and on the pavement / roads and patel to the metal catch u on the flippy flops

They are a tad pricey for sure but I know they do keep the snow from building up and I can see better with these over the halogen.
