Thank you for having the subtitles still on when they switch to speaking English. I'm hearing impaired and it's hard to hear what they are saying when they speak English so I really appreciate it!
Thanks for pointing that out. I only did it because it was in the Dutch cc in the original video. They usually don't do that, and it works for me because it's less work. But for you that actually sucks so next time if they don't subtitle in Dutch, I'll still take the time to do it

Curious what kind of twist we will get when they go 'abseiling' ... they are getting calls from, by the looks of it, three ex-contestants. My idea is that Daniël gets a call from Anke, Ranomi from Nabil and Soy from Annick. Maybe to give some extra information of some sort? Also .. Jurre gets a call from 'the mole'?!! Hahaha what's that about then?! Looking forward to next week :D

Wow the official suspect percentages are now 57% for Jurre! I enjoyed the safari challenge (still feels weird when Rik suddenly switches to speaking English to have a chat with the 'experts'!), but more exemptions, more fiddling with the tests, a twist is meant to be a surprise once or twice a season not a weekly feature! For anyone interested it looks like the finale is finally back in Vondelpark for the first time since 2019, sadly I can't make it :(
It won't be in the Vondelpark this year. Instead they will be in the garden of Paleis Soestdijk in Baarn

My comment keeps getting deleted, so I'll keep it short this week. I still am deep in the Jurre tunnel. First challenge would have been better if A) it hadn't taken up like 30 minutes (it was good but not that good) B) Jurre hadn't won another advantage (it's just superfluous at this point and not a lot of fun to watch. I'll retract this complaint if he in fact did not know what was in each envelop).
I don't like how many elimination twists we've had this year, and I definitely don't like seeing it at final 4, especially when an exemption is already in play. One elimination twist each year is enough (it doesn't always have to be a non-elimation twist either...like this year I thought having an episode expand into two with a road trip was a smart idea, but kinda poorly executed).
Second challenge was...okay. I love the laser games, but this one wasn't as exciting (I think it was missing more players and chaos). Jurre played it perfectly if he's the mole (get eliminated with a tag in your hand). I just kinda wish this challenge wasn't shoe-horned into the last 10 minutes of the episode. Felt a little rushed and far less grand for being 'the laser game'.
Sad to not have an elimination this week. Just feels like we're really dragging it out now.
I don't want to say it out loud, but the abseiling challenge next week looks pretty interesting. Phone calls from eliminated contestants? Hmm. Color me intrigued. Also you can clearly see Ranomi on the boat with Jurre. Does that mean she's final 3? Would they ride a boat just to get to an elimination destination?

...Not so keen about the non-elimination at this point, but will be interesting to see how the abseiling task goes. In other news, Ranomi finally got to do something! Yay!
Assuming that Jurre is the Mole, I kinda hope it'll reveal he wasn't briefed what was in each envelope. It would be way more impressive if he'd have deduced that Soy had the exemption than if he'd have just known about it beforehand. Would've been interesting to see what was in each one also.
"I may have to thank my last name," Jurre said, and I went oh, of course. The guy is named luck. Obviously the constant 'poker'face clues are referring to him. I think they might have emphasized it a bit too much.

What an episode! It was really good, about the photography challenge. I think that it’s Jurre because when you have a challenge that has an advantage to play, he’ll work hard to get it and he knows what’s up. Judging by that reaction, he knew that he’ll get into that finale. I think the mole is Jurre Geluk!!! Also big fan of the laser game.

A couple of questions please (watching from the U.K. here): I watched a previous season where the final was stretched out over two episodes with the reveal being in a studio with a live audience. Is that what usually happens?
What else does Rik do apart from present this show?
Finally, have any contestants become break out stars after their season finished? This happens quite often with reality tv in the U.K.

most of the kandidaten are somewhat famous in the netherlands, so that answers that.
There will be a live final with an audience (in the garden of one of the Palaces we have here). Next week is the final in South-Africa and the week after a live final with the reveal in The Netherlands. Your second question .. I don't know exactly, but maybe someone else knows?! To answer your last question. The contestants are already known here in The Netherlands and as far as I know they don't become (even bigger in some cases) break out stars

Oh and yes, they usually have the "big reveal" with a live audience in the Netherlands. In the last years that wasn't possible (due to the pandemic) but this year they'll do it again. The location this year is Paleis Soestdijk and everybody can just go there and watch the reveal of the mole ☺

I'm really annoyed about the amount of advertisments, I though she said she was allowed to do this just because she wasn't making any money out of it 😡.
I am not making money. The ads are placed on my videos by record labels and people who have the rights to the music. As I am obviously not paying for their content, they allow me to keep the videos on YT, but they are allowed to place ads. So, no, still not making anything besides any tips you share with me.
