Beautiful story. This girl got so emotional with so beautiful ending. Never heard it before. Nice job and people learn a lot about Ireland and the history from her.
More!! Are you sure you’re not a sprite? The lilt of your tongue and the shine in your eyes belie your human spirit...in all truth, you are lovely and I could also listen to you all day. Thank you so much and I cannot wait for your next tale of Ireland. Now, if anything I said is considered bad...I take it all back because for you I meant only good, beautiful things. Thank you!
Similar to Greek mythology in which Apollo cursed King Midas to have the ears of an ass. He wore a turban, but again his barber was sworn to secrecy. He couldn't stand it, so he shouted into a hole in the ground, then filled it in. But in one version reeds grew out of the hole, and in their rustling, passersby heard the truth. In another, he dug into a piece of Echo.
The infamous Folklore of Tir Na Nog has always and will always be my ultimate favorite Irish legend 🙌 ❤ I used to dream of that place when I was little. Still wish to visit somedays when life gets dark but, I truly enjoyed your video love. New Subscriber to the family. Well done!! 👏 💕 🇮🇪
Awesome video! I'm in the US and I think your country is one of the most beautiful places on earth and it would be a dream come true to live there. Can you do a video for people who have dreams of moving to Ireland?
That's lovely. I'm living in Ireland for about one and a half years and could listen to these tales all day. That is the kind of thing I wish English schools teach us, I mean, not everything but at least some of then. Thanks a mil, looking forward to the next one, cheers

You might like to have a look at the journal Béaloideas, though I must warn you that a lot of the content is in Irish - it's on Jstor. On Internet Archive there's Beside The Fire by Douglas Hyde in the original bilingual edition of 1890, among other important works in this field. There's also the Sacred Texts website.
I've been looking for documents, but honestly more important are oral history, if any, of Ildathach. Whether your opinion of this place is in disbelief, or not, any direction to get more info will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Α similar story exists in Greek mythology about an existing king of about 700 bc. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midas en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midas#Ears_of_a_donkey

the “true “ story sounds sorta like lion king
Now I have to search and see if you've done the legend of Queen Medb yet. If you haven't, I will harass you until you do 😈 because M is for Maeve.
Is eating a mouse somehow better without its tail? Eating a mouse with or without it’s tail is horrid.
lol I know, every version I read included the part about the tail so I wanted to include it but I did have the same thought as you 😂💗
Wtf?
