This is a damn good trailer! It's edited well, uses fitting clips and lines, and best of all, it doesn't give away the soul-shattering depressing-ness that is the actual series. Seriously though, just looking at a naked mole rat gives me anime ptsd now.
this is probably (sadly) one of the most underrated anime of all time I've ever known... this anime almost have *everything* : well-developed & epic story, theme, concept / idea , beautiful imaginative artwork (Ghibli-like) & music , perfect balance between its complex , multi-layered theme (about society, humanity, ancient/traditional & future civilization & its consequences/repercussions) and the 'simplicity' yet very deep & meaningful theme/story of friendship, love/romance (NOT the cliche, dull/boring, 'commercial/mainstream/popular/trendy/hype', too much overdone already kind/type of "friendships" / "love/romance" stories/themes like in Most anime/manga nowadays..) . to put it in much more simpler sentence: Studio Ghibli + Evangelion + Serial Experiments Lain + Anohana + Akira/Metropolis/Ghost in the Shell = this absolutely Masterpiece anime ! I really thank my little brother for introducing me this anime. it's probably THE anime that I will always forever remember (& people who watched this anime also agree!) if you're the kind/type of people/person who like "high-quality" / quality anime, rather than "trend"/ "follow the popular hype/trendy anime" type of people , then you have to try / MUST WATCH this anime ! Give it a try first ,. I promise you WON'T REGRET it !

The title should have been Emotional Anime Headtrip. Every other episode seemed to change my concept of that world. It seemed so peaceful at first glance, and became more and more unnerving and creepy. It's the best anime I've seen.

You really should, just be warned that the show is a massive downer, and its ending doesn't heal its depressing nature like many other 'dark' shows, it just gnaws at you forever. It's been years since I've watched it and it's still the only anime that I still get an emotional reaction to when thinking about it.
