Use a coin or a card wrapped in a cloth to clean the inner gap of the rubber, finger won't be enough.
Second wd40 is a wrong product for rubber,u should use a silicon spray.

Thanks I was wondering about this too regarding the silicone spray! I bought some nextzett gummi pfledge which helped at first but I think I missed some areas that this video covered. I’d that doesn’t work I’ll go with the silicone spray.

WD40 evaporates too quickly. It's good to use as degreaser/cleaner but after that you need something like silicon oil or otherwise rubber conditioner (silicon spray doesn't last)
