I don't know if you remember me, but I commented on one of your past videos asking about Hungary's theme. Thank you so much for delivering!! Made my week :)
Ah, I have waited so long for the cover of "Hej Dunáról fúj a szél", it is one of my absolute favourites of the Civ6 soundtracks. I listened to the cover very carefully and compared it with the original. I started to wonder how you actually make your covers. The notes on the cover seem to correspond very closely to the original. Can you tell which notes are played by just listening to the music? Especially with melody-free background elements like you can find in the Indonesia soundtrack "Bapang Selisir" I find it quite difficult.
Well, usually I try to rely on ears, but with Indonesia it is indeed difficult. So, I used as reference Geoff Knorr’s orchestral score (you can Google his website) and made a cover out of it. But his scores cost money, so I use them only in situations like Indonesia, where in some moments music is just so explosive, that you can’t catch all the notes. Hopefully this answered your question!
@@eugene6935 imagine not getting only chords by ears but whole notes section, their length etc. It's possible but with alot of practive (and some talent maybe too)

I've waited so long for this.. now the tricky part.. I have to learn it.. thumbs up for including the speed up at the end
Your covers are fantastic! They strike an incredible balance between being actually playable and still sounding great!
Doing god's work, this is amazing as always!

@@mzmasterGosh, incredible for a primary guitar learner like me to get chords by ears.

Wonderful! I was amazed, when I heard the first part of music, when it is "darker" to hear. Bully for you!
Incredible arrangement! I have not heard this song before now, but it is a good one. New subscriber here.
Okay, so I found you because of a comment you posted on the Babylon soundtrack video, very impressive

Has anyone noticed that the music they used for Hungary in the first look trailer is slightly different from the one in game?
