    Lyrics:
Now that you have gone away
I feel so cold, why did I stay?
Remember, I'll remember your face so pale
when you left me on that gloomy day...
Time goes by, memories are mine
Still waiting for the moment I'll see you again
Times are changing, memories are fading
    I'm waiting for another chance
to tell you belong to me
    One day
    I know we'll meet again
    Under the Iron Sky.
    Im still praying the stars,
to give me hope and little signs.
My heart is lying, my love for you is not dying.
    I'm waiting for another chance
to tell you belong to me
    One day
    I know we'll meet again
    Under the Iron Sky.
I know we'll meet again one day.
    Under The Iron Sky.
    One day
    I know we'll meet again
    Under the Iron Sky.

    It's funny...
the first teaser for iron sky had this song in it a gave a very dark and melancholy tone. And that's what I acutally expected from the movie. So in the end I was really disappointed when it turned out to be a trashy science fiction comedy film. Not cuz it was bad but I was hoping for something completely different :D
    Never the less...great song!

you my friend couldn't have said it any better. don't get me wrong i still thought it was a good and funny movie (thought it wasn't gonna be) but i thought it was gonna be an epic war movie. its a great concept for a movie, just wished it wasn't a comedy.

Me too man, i really wished it was grim.
I wished if it was like this:
Nazis became so advanced and so well hidden all this time
they left earth and made a better advancement
they came back to revenge, easily took over the world but got dis-interrested and went back to the moon.

I knew the makers from their earlier work on the StarWreck series and, being British, I delighted in their sense of absurdity. vomitronic A potential reason for this may be the simple fact that the concept of Nazis on the Moon is an inherently difficult thing to handle straight. Thus, I think that the decision to be part satire, and part comedic homage to the naziploitation films before it was a smart move as it actually made the film far more enjoyable than your standard issue Sy-Fy original movie creations.

I love Iron Sky, and this song is a huge part of the reason why.
The film is virtually perfect for me, from the style, to the mix of english and german (I understand german as a second language) to the brilliant references to other films...right down to the casting of Udo Kier (a personal hero of mine) as the Moon-Fuhrer.
Capping it off with this glorious song for the apocalyptic end of the film was just...perfect.

Ironic! But in the film, Space Nazies should have had an upper hand, and Earthling humans should have been underdogs. In film, the NAZies have large ships, and look dramatic, but have weak , within film's context, firepower. Americans bring brilliant pebbles (mass balistic weapons), electromagnetic railguns, and gigawatt class lasers. Though their spacecraft are fragile looking, the weaponry is far superior to the NAZIes. In the atmosphere American A-10's and F-22's just destroy the NAZIes.

+Fatal_Taco Because it is a great movie, that was only pure cynicism. Take a look to Iron Sky 2. Lizard-men Nazi, Illuminati, hollow earth (do you feel the irony ?), all this stuff is only criticism of conspimorons.
This OST was made by a band that used the same method to denounce corruption, hypocrisy and totalitarianism. Finally it is well made!

Regardless, aside from the pigeon pooping on the statue at the end of the first trailer, it looked like it could be a kick ass Historic/Science fiction flick. What we got was a turd.

    • @blackout57
      @blackout57 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Miccollo
It's only a matter of taste. But, at least, you need to bring some arguments to discuse something. I liked the first Iron Sky due to the soundtrack and the deep cynicism. A large number of humoristic movies talk about love, or sex and dumb teenagers with the same storyline. For once, a humoristic movie goes further than only: retarded trying to fuck, vomit, fart and jokes about gays.
Nevertheless, if you just hated the movie, we can't discuss this point without any explanation. It was not the greatest movie I have ever seen, but It was not a turd either. Scary movie 5 was a turd, or not so far, in part, due to the "too much". This, and a bad acting. It was hightly critiqued by the whole press and by more than 90% of spectators.
However, we are talking about Iron Sky 1, on a trailer of Iron Sky 2, which is not available and can't be discused at this time. I am glad to see that someone is mocking the consirationism and other "high as fuck" guys in a movie.

    • @sackofpeas2470
      @sackofpeas2470 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vulpes
You realize when somebody says something sucks, it is coming from their own opinions. I don't need to label anything with "my opinion", when I'm writing how I felt about a film. Also, I don't need to have any arguments when I'm not having an argument. I stated my opinion, you stated yours. End of discussion.
You like it, that's all fine and dandy, I didn't, that's also fine and dandy.
This isn't a trailer for Iron Sky 2, so I don't know what you mean at the end of your little rant. I came here for the song, which is fantastic.
Conspiracies are fun though, and there aren't really any big films that tackle Historic-Fiction, especially in this regard. I was excited at a film that seemed to be about the Nazi's somehow forming an undetectable base on the moon and then engineering tech leaps and bounds beyond the world below. Then it would all come to a head as they appeared out of nowhere, an enemy out of time with weapons that would seem science-fiction to us. After that, it leads into a massive battle, where the world is plunged into WWIII, but even with overwhelming numbers as the majority of Earth aligns against the Nazis, they still are at an extreme disadvantage due to the tech. It looked like it would be a big science fiction action bonanza, where you'd have the villain being the victor or maybe a possible Wolfenstein -esque plot where a band of elite soldiers with tech taken from the Nazi's have to infiltrate and take out the leadership.
Instead, we got an over the top comedy that tries to hard to be funny and made a sore misstep in how they marketed the first trailer. Many who saw the original trailer years ago, myself included, were of the impression it would be a film like I described, but the end product had absolutely nothing at all related to the tone that was put forth in the trailer.

    • @montigobear
      @montigobear 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

He gave the 'Nazi saucer' trop a serious, rather well researched treatment in the form of five (?) novels. They chronicled the how, why, who, when elements of the UFO genesis and proliferation -- all revolving around one central, amoral character. A very good treatment of the subject and substantiated with real life developments (but some 'real life' saucer references were presented in error to one degree or the other). I so wish the movie had taken the serious approach, as Harbinson did. But, hey, the Producers had to make a call, and their history was to play the subject matter as a joke. To be fair, the movie was excellent eye-candy -- for that I found the cost of the DVD money well spent (and that Nazi school-teacher was not at all hard of these old eyes). I'll buy the sequel, when and if.
