This video must a joke... Have you ever visited a Karls at all? Talking about it as they would have upcycled slides which are dangerous or mice running around. You are misusing footage here. Karls is creating a unique atmosphere to their visitors themed around farmers and country, it's a look they create. All Karls places are loved by visitors, esp families with kids because they are no high priced amousement park but a place to hang out and kids to play. We got a 6yr and 8yr old - they would go every day if they could.... Videos like this are misleading from my point of view, you are refering to footage but never seem to have visited Karls nor are you bringing up any references from people living close to a Kalrs place. Your are just trying to create FUD. I get you are unhappy if it causes an existing restaurant to close, however you have to keep in mind that going to Karls is free, basic attractions like slides are free - they run by the revenue they create by serving food, articles you can by in their shops etc... A 'full day pass' which gives you all paid rides unlimited usage for a full day at Karls I Germany is about 10dollars
I want close by theme parks for Ventura and Oxnard. It would be amazing if universal, six flag or Disney make a park somewhere nearby our mini metro area. No more hour drives would be amazing. There prime land around Camarillo and Somis that perfect while there still lots of land to make it. I hope someone takes advantage of it now before these areas get developed that it inconvenient to build anything entertainment wise. I think we deserve it to happen. I been keeping tabs on this Karl's adventure for a while. Cant wait. Frankly we cant have affordable housing with these massive nimby, and companies buying out land to make HOA's. That they force land value being high for this area we deserve better entertainment. Many of Ventura county greatest location at the time were from a community that wanted to develop our city to grow bigger. Sadly due to Coastal act being abused, and lawsuits left and right we lost our innovating spirit. Which is causing our housing crises as well. Can't wait for them to start building this small park.
I want that seafood place to stay. I think that German restaurant needs to do more market research - my opinion for that part of Oxnard, it won't do well. The live music thing won't be liked by residents across the waterway. BUT, that part does need renovation. Maybe something like the shopping area at Wooley and Victoria ?
I think it is a BAD idea. Is it better to leave it alone .. Yes. It does not fit local seasiders, nor local Port Hueneme \ Oxnard people. If locals won't use it, then it is dead-ended. Land \ Dock rights will been given away to third parties. You only have to look at the 'fabulous' shops on the same adjoining corner of Vineyard & Channel Islands Blvd

When is this getting built
Last I heard, the plan was to have it all the way finished within 5 years. The first year, 2024-25 is to figure out all the logistics.
