hold E on your follower to change healing %
You can set the auto bandage, eat, and drink settings under the behaviour settings when you hold E on your follower.

Hammer and its first ability solar protection is also pretty OP. you can activate it, run into the middle of enemies, then slam the hammer down. If you alternate the left and right click you can rapid fire the hammer
The class skill my main follower has is guarding roar it increases def and max resilience by 10 percent to himself and nearby allies for 60 sec with a 40 sec cooldown. he uses it at the start of combat if he has it. also, you can change your followers battle style to ranged or defense under behavior settings and the follow distance. I have mine set to range and far distance.
If you hold E on the follower and choose "set behavior" you can set a % that they will heal themselves .. but they have to have bandages in their inventory to use

Didn't know that but then again I would not mess with that setting as they dont seem to care what is going on when they need to heal. So if you set it too high they will just be constantly trying to heal mid combat.
It can only be 40/60/80% you can't set it any higher or lower. @@Firespark81
@Firespark81 it actually works pretty good to be honest I set it to heal at 80% and it doesn't seem to make them heal too much in combat .. especially if you do like you said and take it slow and easy

Firespark. You need to do a follower ability beakdown like we know you can do. We need to know the limits of the followers. How far can they do work away from the base/starting point. What impedes them. doorways, multi level buildings etc. Test this Ai for us.
If you're a melee character, having a follower with a bow who can do ranged support is gold as well!
I tried that but since they follow you they stand to close for ranged combat so make sure they can switch to a close range weapon do not only give a bow unless they have taunt as main perk.

Great walkthrough!
The distant the follower or mount that is set to follow you will teleport to you at the 70m+ distant. The max distant you can call them to follow you is 96m (could be 100m but didnt bother to move a few inches XD).

I never thought to use taunt on my guy, but that does make a lot more sense.
I love this game. But I think some people don't want all these options to think about. For me this is my jam. I also crave follower games. Freaking love the pve unpredictably. If we die we die idc it's unique every time.
Thanks. I've already played 110 hours and didn't know about the G. Skill if I use a follower! So helpful. I also didn't know about setting a mastery skill lol. I'm surprised I got this far in the game already without knowing this.

You can adjust when your follower starts healing on 40%, 60% or 80% health. I set mine on 60 but if you know you get a hard fight, put it on 80
Thanks for the tips. Helps a lot, I played over 80 hours, before I even started to not use the tribesmen as a slave and contol them myself.
This will help me obliterate the tribevillages!

Many weapon perks have knockdown or Crowd control, that's what I pick in general.
the biggest issue for me is that once they get downed the enemy ai that was attacking them keeps doing it until they are dead
Taunt
The game travelling is annoying. If say you died and left your mount out there you can't ride another mount to go retrieve it because you cannot have 2 mouth to follow you. The map has uninspiring areas to build a base... Maybe build a really tall tower and place the bonfire there like a light house would be nice 😅
you can also set your followers preferred fighting style (defensive, ranged, offensive) and what % they use bandages at. i set mine to defensive they may not do as much damage wise but they block alot
The problem with Soulmask and its NPC tribesmen is there are so many stations, pet pens and farm stuff in the game that the working range of the NPC worker isnt large enough to accomodate the work area. After a 30meter radius the NPC run into issues.

I found that as well. I think so many people are pissed at this game because there is so much you can do and unlock that most players that are used to games like Conan have a hard time in this game and blame the level cap of the main character. I have been playing this for some time now, and guess what i tryed Conan for a few hours again and i am completly destroying everything in that game now even things like the outside dungeon mini bosses with simple stone knives (just have you hotbar full of them in case they break). This game is teaching me to fight better (i still loose a lot of times) but going back to Conan i now see how easy most part of that game is. You really need to unlock everything and first followers before you can revive the death should be only focussed on crafting. You want every level every unlock in any tree and the best gear you can get for your main character. Yes even if you own character is capped you want everything because most things work when controlling tribes people or when they follow or when you instruct them to do something. Also to shorten the time to level stuff setup schedules for work inside your base, so workers level even when you are not online and when you get back you have full boxes of crafted stuff and a happy working community. Scheduled work also works better then just full time (they are not slaves and behave accordingly).
Quick tip for the spear, if you use your middle mouse button to lock onto the target, and then throw your spear, it's basically an aimbot, and you'll never miss unless they dodge.
I got to a point where enemies would constantly dodge and spear became null/void.. definitely op in beginning but towards mid game it sucks lol

Some times I get freaked out buy the AI my guy was pooping and one of them opened the door and staring at me then the text said looks nice .

There is a upgrade version of "Heal the Wounded" Forgot the name though

how do you save their memories or whatever its called? i have the table and the coffin part too but idk how to save the follower in it
You have to beat the boss then you unlock a mask node then you go to the tab you see me go to in the video.
at the stone table open and go to the second tab remodel with the tribe member you want to save and use the enter new data to save the tribes member

What is the best type of follower, a Skilled or Master one ?
Try to always go for masters. Quality doesn't matter as much.

which tribesman classes get the taunt and the cure wounded skill?
It's mostly random but fighters tend to show up with it pretty regularly.
For me issue is my followers started to destroy their gear(idk why) instead let it in eq for repair u need to craft them few sets with defense mods and durability as well + dmg reduction
Love the Heal the Wounded perk, I actually prefer enemies on my tribesmen because they can soak more damage than myself (dumb ai excluded).
Battle Tested 3 is a must, if not then they're base tribesmen only, lol!
LoS around a corner, charge up a full heavy hammer, then spam quick heavy hammer. Enemy puree, bwahaha
Could some1 tell me how to unlock top hunter.. i cant take the heads of the elite beasts or the saber boss
just keep hunting, record atleast one of everything and if its a perfect kill that says enlightenment then record that too
Hopefully theres a better of changing the behavior of the follower on the fly. Some tribal camp bosses have these annoying triple AOE jumps that instantly knock people down. If theres a button that can change the behavior to Prioritize Dodge or Evasion, then it would be easier for followers to survive.
I assumed i can either deploy a mount or a follower. If thats correct why would i ever choose a follower over my panther?
You can deploy 1 human and 1 animal at the same time.

Animal friends can't attack... anything ... but no, you can have your mount follow you AND a follower!
@@aaronwilloughby6776 i know but they are still usefull. Monkeys get you lots of fruit. The lama is for transport of heavy things.Leopart is fast travel mount. Bonus if you die npc useally do not kill your animals as they do with human followers.
how can you save 6 at the table ? is that a setting or something to unlock ?
There is a T2 upgrade so I suppose that's what allow that. He seems to be in endgame.

the critique falls flat fast when you misread often in this video.
I'm 90% sure that the entire combat mechanic was rushed at the last second by AI. One would kinda expect the AI to function a bit better?

I actually haven't had much issues with the AI while fighting once I turned the bandage rate up to 80%. I get more annoyed when it teleports in front of my mount because he falls to far behind or when it kills the scout after spending 5 mins clearing the camp to isolate it. :/
@@PupperSophia The AI seems to respond more to random dice rolls than to my actions, eg. pulling out a bow while in melee combat, and vice-versa. lots of aspects like that. The trait system is a bit unbalanced and unhinged. I don't think a human is responsible for that. Maybe I'm wrong.
i guess you need to make TikTok videos to get more Followers at some point
