Anyway this is also new... Electric car is new to Indian roads. So this vedio is really useful and made us to think that we can go on long trip with an electric car.

This is really an eye opener. Though they say one time charge makes upto 300 plus KMs, you cannot really drain your battery to 2% at exact next charging point. This video gets a clear message that one has to charge at every 170 KMs. If one wants to go for a place at 800 KMs, he has to charge 5 times. 5 times is equal to 5 hours (wasted) on charging. With 5 hours spent on present high way in a perrol/diesel car, one can cover the distance of 350 KMs. Further, he seemed to have driver the car in 60 KMs speed. When we really belive in time = money, it is surely not a wise decision to buy EV now, when one travels a lot

The cost for electricity consumed is less but the differential amount between electricity charges and fuel is spent in Multiples restaurants eating food, knick knacks during charging time.

Just think if everybody start using the ev cars and if need recharge then we stand in a long queue. EV cars only suitable for city drive and too as secondary car. Spending 16lak for secondary car is really too much, we have long way to go in EV. Also sure if petrol consumption is less then our gov will focus on electricity bill. Our future generation is going to pay 100rs for a unit.🤑

@@praveenashok4055 In solor panel, the current produced is sell to gov and we will consume power from EB only. Simple logic, if petrol consumption is reduced then the gov tax earnings will get reduced and it look for other sources it will reduce the cost of EB consumption from you and it again it sells for high cost to you.

You should know about Fast chargers. US already has 200KW chargers n technology is evolving. With such technology you can charge a Nexon in 7 minutes from 0-100% but practically Nexon at this moment doesn't support such ultra fast chargers but eventually when the infrastructure is in India Cars will also evolve.
Any transformation in technology will have initial niggles.
Even by your logic. We should be happy to pay tax to our country than Arabs making them rich.
Ppl should be agile rather than sticking to old school ideas which isn't a solution for future

Due to EV you had break fast in saravana bhavan and 300 rs bf ( per head)in hubali. This also additional cost. Also 7 hrs waiting time..
Also you can't travel in night , due to charging station non availability.
More than that complete journey you have to focus in charging station distance and availability. Not a peaceful trip.
    Also travel timing _
first day _ 5 AM To 9 PM,
    2nd day 7 AM To 3 PM .
Total hour = 25 Hours ( excluding night stay 10 hrs).
    Average speed : 32 Km / hr ( salem to Goa _ 800 km ).
என்னங்க இது .. so need to more patience and more time . Sometime people will start early morning on Saturday and return back Sunday evening ( in flight ) .. ஆனா நம்ம அப்பதா போயி சேர்வோம்..
I don't think it's worth. But your great .. you spend your time and money to explore this things to other. Thanks

In the coming years... People owning EV's will be fighting for charging stations on highways.... The fast charging or swapping battery infra should be developed by EV makers.... Even for players like Tata....can easily make it provided they have already made large infra investment..... This will reduce waiting time at charging stations and when swapped batteries to be readily available for next customer

For all those gave negative feedbacks, I like to tell one thing. At the moment I agree the infrastructure to charge around India is less and I'm very sure in upcoming years itll definitely increase. When the petrol, diesel, LPG & CNG vehicles were introduced for the first time, all who have bought or thought of buying must have faced the same issue. I have a petrol plus LPG car and finding a gas station is quite uneasy. Nevertheless we still using the car for our commute. EVs infrastructure will increase gradually. Moreover no company is asking any individual to buy their EV. In my opinion EV will be the future and slowly all this petrol/diesel vehicles will become lesser atleast for individual use. Thank you.
P.S. I'm buying an EV soon.

2 questions about your charging choices
    1. Why didn't you charge short time at Chitradurga to reduce charging time at Davangere?
Charging to 80% and moving on is faster and also more re assuring
    2. Why didn't you choose a hotel with EV friendly charging option in hubli?
Overnight charging would have saved you 2 hours of trouble

Also , I prefer charging overnight to 70% as it is easier than hoping the fast charger is working in the morning

If you calculate the amount of carbon emission of coal compared to petrol emission it's less you ! They are not fools ! Choose the wise one 👍🏼 FYI : 50% of India's electricity is coming from nuclear power plant 🔥

      @@jjohnjawahar 50 % comes from nuclear? Wrong..
Nuclear plants are more danger than CO 2 emissions. You know nuclear waste radiation period is 2500+ yrs. Like uranium and other materials. Highly danger. And Till date no country have proper disposal plan for nuclear waste. Including france.. who took 80 % electricity from nuclear. Presently they also reduces this nuclear power usages. Brother

Boss, why I support EV for its no pollution, but you didn't save any money. You had to pay money for the Hotel and you had to Drive at 60 KMPH.. so you lost money and time.. I did Bangalore to Goa in 11 hours. If we add 3 hours for Salem to Bangalore, that would be 14 hours.. Which is a one day trip and you would stay in Goa in the night.
I am not a pessimist, but EV's still has a long way to go, before it becomes a vehicle for Long Distance Drive. For me wasting time at the Charging points is the big problem.
EDIT: I saw a comment about Battery Swapping. If Cars could bring Battery Swapping technology, I am in.. :)
