ATS Pro vs Noob

- Video showcasing the diferences between noobs and pro players in ATS. During the recording of this video I've noticed that I do a lot of noob stuff. At the end of the day we play the game to chill.
Some take it more seriously and try to simulate driving a truck as realistic as possible, while others just want to press the gas and make deliveries as soon as possible. I do a little bit of both, sometimes xD

Many boys became real truckers after learning to park in Trameri in ETS2
i'm worried for every map rework the original Trameris would be lost.
@@R3Lynx Have you even look at the texture quality of the original Trameris?
If you're that worried for every map rework the original Trameris would be lost, you could just go write to SCS and tell them to keep the original Trameris, but just update the textures?
@@automation7295 Hold your horses, Trameri is an iconic piece of Truck Simulator lore. Clean up the textures and modelling, but keep the original narrow gate factory design. Companies with tight spaces are becoming endangered in TS.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@TheSultan1470 You can just write to SCS and ask them to keep the Trameri's original narrow gate factory design. I actually agree that the original Trameri factories should stay, even after map rework, they can still make new Trameri prefabs, but at least keep original Trameri factories but just redo the texture and modeling.
While idiots can hate the Tramier's entrance, but they're still the most memorable buildings for most ETS2 players, especially the OGs.
As an actual noob, I gotta say I will retain that title forever in regards to dangerous overtaking and speed. The rush of near misses at high speed and getting your cargo delivered without a scratch is very satisfying.
yeah i get frustrated re doing the same turns cause i crash but i still will never ease my finger off the throttle
Should see my over takes I go on opposite side of the highway hills etc
There are real truck drivers like this with actual CDLs lol
Same.
You forgot about entering places and driving in cities. The pro drives in the left lane in cities to allow traffic to turn right on reds while noobs usually stay in the right land and cause traffic jams.
Yeah I usually do that and then some ai dude just stops in the right lanes and I'm like wtf am I joke to you?
Right on red only applies to North America, which ATS is set in.
Turning right on red isn't even allowed in Europe, some junctions in some countries have a green right arrow sign or a filter light showing green arrow when all other directions is red.
Thankfully the video did have ATS in the title. SCS needs to add right turn on red rules into ATS, we've been waiting 6 1/2 years and there's always signage where it's not the case (this is only going to get worse for them the longer they wait to do it but they'd also need to fix traffic first, and good luck with that mess)!
@@bog2069 😅
@@BrianH1988 you can right turn on red in ats, you just need to indicate and come to a full stop before turning
Absolutely hilarious video. Even with around 300 hours in, I'm still a noob lol.
😂 Glad you liked it! And thanks for the comment. I think at some point, the majority of us, do noob things 😅
Bro same I’ve got like 350 hours and just decided to get the biggest/ longest wooden lowboy config so I can carry oversized stuff and it’s like trying to learn the game all over again 😂
Combining ETS2 and ATS, I'm at about 600hrs and yep, def drive like a noob at times, esp with the speed and overtaking. Feels slow when sticking to the limit, and then have traffic to dodge if speeding. And I'm not inclined to pay attention to "no trucks" signs, the roads are in the game for a reason! :)
Dude parking in ats is not the same as ets2 because of the long trailers
me too lmao 😂
The Legend: Is floating gears and has a fully simulated 18 speed transmission
As a trucker I enjoy watching guys like you.
5:20 More accurate that most don't know how to back a trailer.
Was in a convoy and sat for over thirty minutes waiting for people to drop there trailer off at the smallest HMS Machinery lot and when it was my turn i just backed in from the road, probably took me thirty seconds to park and unload.
Pro: You ALMOST tipped over! it was completly dangerous overtake!
Noob: i would call it a special time save , man trust me 45.550€ was worth it.
the commercial driver knows how much he/she can speed over the limit without risking tickets in their area :)
stay safe out there
Foreign:- It's so dangerous.
Meanwhile in Indian Buses:- A common day for the drivers and the people.
🤣
Just as I am really getting into ATS you upload a video about it, very cool. I got 60 hours on ATS now, half of it I have gotten over this months as I really got into it now that I have friends to convoy with.
fact: once you are more experienced, it becomes harder to do things wrong
True fact 🤣🤣
This applies to ETS also. At some points I can say I'm a pro , like parking , taking the tight curves/exists (or at least I try). But at some points I can say I'm a noob , speed limits , overtakes , sometimes I flip over , etc. I find it very boring to go with 90 km/h or less and since update 1.46 I find it very annoying that trucks are driving side by side on 2nd or 3rd lane with 80 km/h. It's much more funnier to go with 110-180 km/h depending on the truck , load and road. Obviously if I have an unstable load or serpentines I would go slower , and I don't overtake if I don't have visibility , but otherwise on a single lane road I don't care if it's continuous line or not , I will just overtake and set the cruise to 110-120 km/h. On the other hand , on Germany autobahn I will set the cruise to 180 and give it all the beans. At the end of the day it's a game , nobody dies , and if I crash too badly , I reload from the save. My in-game driving style doesn't translate to real life driving style , where I always respect the rules.
When I first started playing, I took it slow and respected the speed limit and never really overtook anyone
The more I play, the more I like testing the limit of my truck with blatant disregard of others on the road
Every one was noob ,when they start the game.
In regards to backning up a trailer. Noobs like to do it at a 90 degree angle. Speaking from experience
0:40 certified Fernando Alonso moment. "ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE SPACE!"
2:00 you can see the wheel, he's trying to fix it. He knows how too, he's fighting against it though.
The Noob music choice, perfect Milan 🤘😅
6:20 You're more pro if you don't have money and XP cheat on... right?
HAHAHAHHAHAHA wtf
@@TheSultan1470 ok...
@@ferrokaffe Yeah, I'm laughing at him using a cheat
@@TheSultan1470 oh ok lol xD
Even with Noob rushing, he still does a better job than me at backing a trailer in 😂
2:55 this is me all of the time 😂I always think that ETS2 = NFS 😅
With the parking, often doing it like the pro does not work and the game does not let me rest
A pro only uses the mirrors and the over the shoulder view for reversing. Back when i was a noob i used to rely on the top down view.
I grew up with a trucker dad and uncle. Noob is what's dubbed a "super trucker".
Pro: Drive like a truck driver. Noob: Drive like a racecar driver 😂
Noob : doesn't respect security distance.
Pro : respect the security distance because he's aware of braking distance.
Noob : Doesn't look on the map where gas stations are, neither the fuel gauge, and run out of gas.
Pro : Look at gas station location and fuel gauge to avoid it
Noob : Choose the job which bring as much money as possible.
Pro : Look at kilometric price
from my 200 hours of ats i have learned to cross the double yellow for racing lines and speed when the cops arent there
Habibi, police not there, everything legal. I in real life when there is no traffic I also do the racing lines, without the speed tho 😍
Most of the other players I see, drive these trucks unrealistically fast, like they're racing. They haven't got a clue.
I got in the habit of going to sleep whenever I see the prompt at the rest stop. Sometimes it won't show if you park properly.
The Noob clip on turning Ive done that multiple times and Im starting to get the hang of taking my turns wide even with the regular trailers where the Tandems are all the way back I always take my turns wide.
"The game is for us to relax, not stress" as I take out a high interest 500k loan that will severely cripple the first twenty hours of gameplay
twas quite humerous. i personally will always be a noob bc i just use it as a driving simulator bc i found driving around in GTA 5 calming, and like to see the scenery lol
I haven’t played ats as much anymore because I recently got a ps5, but at Christmas I might return.
The noobs be acting like they be handling same day delivery 😂
I feel like the noob is really just a state of mind. Most the time, I think I'm more of a pro, but when I'm close to finishing the order and I have something else to do I tend to become a noob. My most frustrating noob moments being impatient when pulling out of tight spaces where I end up getting caught on a turn, entering truck-prohibited roads, and making hard delivery parking.
So after 12 years real world driving, in this game (primarily ETS2) I'm a mix. I do in game what i can't in real life.
Not gonna lie the Noob did better at backing up for the delivery then I do
Me about to do both somehow at once
The parking and resting area hits home. I don't even bother trying to park I just press Enter (I use KB + Mouse steering) when I get the skip parking LOL (though I do park when I don't find it hard to park)
As for resting, sometimes I park properly most times I just outright ignore the parking lines and sleep to get to destination as fast as possible (though I can take my time, I always end up 6-11 hours earlier than expected arrival, mind you, this is still respecting traffic rules and not being a hazard, I just drive as much as my fuel and fatigue can go)
I play a lot on steam deck... thing is that "reading the signs ahead" is not always an option. But aside of that yeah you are correct.
This is actually quite funny because I am a pro and yet I must confess that I have done all the noob things, usually when I'm in a hurry because of other things or when I'm irritated at AI LOL.
I would imagine most of us who play ATS have done many of these noob things. Also it really seems like with every update the AI traffic just gets dumber and dumber, and its REALLY IRRITATAING!!! Especially at the on ramps when they have a crash and it backs everything on the Highway/Interstate up.
i love the dangerous manuevers
when you realize this has been a 8:07 video of someone insulting your driving lol
It's fine to take those roads, just got to pay the scenery tax. Never got the truck up on one side but I've been down a lot of the steep grades sideways doing 90MPH+ in the rain.
The parking thing, seriously on ets2 pulled right into the spot was mere seconds away from turning off engine, "sleeping violation". Like what the actual hell game, not driving and it just fines me.
So with the large truck stops in ats I can see why the zip in and hit enter like that. The game doesn't seem to take into account that you are already in a rest area.
I still plan to buy ats along with all the dlc for both games, as well as looking into a wheel and trackir to up the experience and control of the game. Currently I'm keyboarding it, maybe ps4 controller if I can get a new cable because my PC doesn't wanna recognize the bluetooth.
Turn the fatigue simulation off. Such a worthless feature, I'll rest when I want to.
@@Tuii You need to give the AI some space, they are AI, after all, lol. A major issue is the tiny road layout due to the space compression. The road system wasn't made for large traffic flow in mind.
@@TheSultan1470 this+use the ~ key to simply set it to the next morning, that way, it's like you took a rest.
Most areas for me would be 6, though near US2 (Kalispell) it would be 5, and Texas in the CDt, it's 7. (stationed in McAllen for both accounts, levels 69 and 70)
so basically the pro is just a guy who has a drivers license irl
Masters will start to park things that isn't possible whiteout messing around the game. Like hard whit doubles/triple
Noobs are far more realistic in the ATS context, though. They're those who drive for the *"Sure Wish I Finished Training"* company lmao 💀
🤣
I have *Traffic offence* and *Fatigue simulation* turned off so I don't have to worry about speed or rest.
Basically me and my one friend that blames every crash on a Prius
🤣🤣😅
For rest stops sometimes the game won't let you rest so you just find a spot where you can.
I guess I would say I'm between a pro and a legend, although much closer to a pro than a legend. I'm not great at parking trailers, but I eventually get the job done. As they say - location, location, location and lots of practice. I used to think I had a decent amout of time logged in ATS until reading some of the comments and finding folks with huge hours built up. I don't go for total authenticity - I don't get tired and I don't use mods to age/rust/etc. my trucks. I like them looking just like they came out of the showroom. They cost too much money for me to mess them up, but for others using those mods, more power to ya. All in all, ATS is a great game. Well done developers!!!!
1:07 true truckers I’m not a trucker tho but you can still go down that way if you got a job
i would follow the signs if i could read them
Why cant you read them?
bad graphics i also cant read my gauges
Damn a noob can park?! I'm really bad then hahaha
I play like a pro but when my butt starts aching close to the end of a job, often I go noob.
Game honestly needs harsher punishments.
*"Game honestly needs harsher punishments"*
That would make people complain to SCS and/or even abandon the game. You would also complain if SCS added harsher punishments.
Both ETS2/ATS are supposed to be relaxing. Also the game is rated PEGI 3 in Europe or ESRB E in North America.
Milan can you make a video named All crossing places because i love trains
Believe or not, I have planned doing a video like this. But I was worried it wouldn't be very helpful 👀
@@MilanTrucker ok bro its ok if not no problem:)
Te noob in the thumbnail is actually a pro taking a shortcut
🤔 You might be right!
1 - I usually go up to the opposite sidewalk if necessary, but I never stray so far from the road, the ideal is to achieve the most perfect crescent shape from the nose of the truck to the end of the trailer.
2 - With your head on the road, your eyes can wander through the landscape but what the noob player does is cross the line.
3 - damaging the truck in a curve at high speed, that's sacrilege, burn these noobs at the stake and make decorations for their relatives with those ashes!...
4 - Vehicles are never, but NEVER, passed in a continuous line and less than less if it is double.
5 - Since man meets in large communities there are laws, with vehicular traffic it is the same, if the law is not respected... Chaos will reign.
6 - Parking is the key for an expert trailer driver, if you don't know how to do it correctly... Do not approach a truck even with a stick two kilometers long.
7 - Fines or not at the time of delivery, there is the final decision, with that you see if you ascend to the Olympus of truckers or descend to Tartar to be locked up forever.
8 - At the end of the day, we the road demigods, just want the truck to drive itself and get us safely to a pillow rest. (as many hours as needed, ideally 8 hours straight, smoothly during the break.)
Amazing video
Ever since I first started playing in 2018, I’m a master backer with a great wheel setup and I’m level 143 on my current profile thing
Got this game two days ago already 10 hours and I recently bought my first truck
I'm definitely a noob at this game but I still love it
Well, shit, it's not my fault I need to drive a truck with a sleeper long enough to carry two tons of all important burgers through narrow gates.
Sh!t, I'm a noob. Thanks for the tips. You were a bit generous with how long it took the noob to back into its drop spot but other than that, I am a changed man...
Let‘s be honest. Everybody is a mixture of both 😂
Facts 🤣
Hey Milan, would you make a new top 10 for ATS Mods?
This is Amazing! I'm expecting SCS SOFTWARE on adding México in America Truck Simulator & in World of Trucks! Even though México is in AMERICA! I'd love to see USA & Mexico intergreated, how many mods can I play offline? are they playable offline?
One of the reasons i bought ATS was because the beautiful nature in the game.
Exactly!
somtimes i still wonder even out of truck games some people still cant figure out how to properly park backwards i get it in a semi truck with a trailer i get if you dont know that but if your in a sedan still trying to figure out witch way to steer for your back of the car to go left or right then you just should not drive tbh]
at the end evryone should play like he wants, then this is his way to have fun ingame 👍
Ok so because of all this I now know that I'm a sort of Intermediate. I do most thing like the pro, a few minor things like the noob, and because I'm too lazy to fully learn how to park the trailer so I always do the Safe parking to atleast get some experience.
the noob parks to rest unloading the cargo because knows it is sometimes hard to reverse with it
Not going lie I use the bird eye view to park the trailer, and my first big accident happened when it was sunset and the glare got in my eye so I didn't see road construction until I was on top of it I went left to dodge drove into the grass and right down the overpass. Definitely not my finest hour good grief😑
OK BRO i m PRO in all but sorry i use this noob technic in parking and resting 👍👍👍👍😍😍😊😊😂😂🤣🤣👌👌👌👌 NICE VDO bro
As a real trucker, I play ATS like a noob XD
fun fact a pro player in ETS2/ATS maybe a noob in action games and vice versa
I like the music "noob" is fun 😅
i didn;t know we could roll the truck if we take a corner too fast, is there some advanced physics I forgot to turn on?
Of you pull the suspension stiffness sliders all the way to the left on the options screen, that's you on simulation mode. Not recommended it you're using a keyboard!
Hey dude your game look like pretty good. Pack graphics?
Thats not noob, thats a speedrunner
Not wrong 👀
if you noob, you can enter to skip the parking hahaha
Well in fairness, unless you turn AI completely off 90% of your long trips are going to have shenanigans at the behest of the AI in front of you, not least with how thoroughly they broke AI behavior in the last few patches. One you should have added: traffic being dumb. The pro is responsive and knows to stop immediately or risk damage to their cargo, and still takes some damage, usually with proper pacing to avoid any damage to the cargo. The noob forgets the jake brake exists and takes on way more damage than the pro. Both are visiting the repair shop far too often. :D
So basically, noobs are those who play this game like GTA
I sometimes do noobish things on purpose to cheese the game
Hello my friend, it was a very interesting video🔥
Do you use steering wheel and pedals?if not how you accelerate this so smooth as pedals?
I can't accelerate calmly with keyboard..Any tips?
YOU CANNOT PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT DRIVE LIKE A JACKASS MANIAC ON RAMPAGE
This is all just good advice for those wanting to get their CDL and do real trucking
Milan, could you please do this for ETS2 if you haven't done it already?
The noob will use Automatic Parking to skip it.
I play in both nood and pro. When hurry goes like noob. Want to drive in relax manner go like pro
I do pretty much the same 😂
Over 1,800 hours in ATS and I'm still mostly a noob. I am so ashamed.
Dont feel like it! Just have fun, that is the end goal 😉
@@MilanTrucker No problem there, that's why I still play the games (namely ETS2 and ATS).
I am 100% noob 🤣
Nices Video
As a real truck driver (8 yesrs) I wanna be the noobiest noob to ever noob the tube, 😂 been driving safe all these years it's time to do some dumb shit and have some fun
Apparently the pro ATS player isn't a real truck driver lol
I'm always a pro trucker 👍
Since the word ‘noob’ has become an insulting term, and could discourage new players asking questions, how about you use the term ‘rookie’? Much less insulting, and accurate! Unless you’ve driven a tractor trailer in real life, everyone is a ‘noob’!
What do you mean the word "noob" has become an insulting term?
People literally call everyone for "NPC", so it's probably fair to call people "noob".
