Thank you for your love for the traditional Chinese food, long xu tang龙须糖,we are very happy that it has been welcomed by you on the streets of South Korea, food is interlinked, and I hope you can learn more about the Chinese culture through these ancient snacks, respect the ancient culture, and work together. Thank you for your publicity!
Hong Kong has lots of these candies. It's candy from ancient China, then passed to Korea
This can also double as a diy wig
Lmaooo

The stickiest wig known 2 man 😭😭
Not sure it works that way buddy.. Dragon's beard has a very short shelf life
This is the simplest and most effective way I’ve seen it made
Hi there, i tried your recipe just now and it turns out very well. But i have a question, how can we remove the taste of the corn starch as my family doesn't like it?
Idk but my mom doesn't use corn starch while stretching the candy she just uses flour so there is barely any taste
@@purorochi Oh Ok Thanks
I was possilby thinking about making this but might try to use powder sugar instead? Not sure if it would work but might be worth a try.
@@foxbody-pv9nx Ohh thanks dear hope it will work
Qandeel Syed maybe try using flour?
I need to try this, looks very interesting!
Question. Can I know? I saw youa ded white Vinegar. So it is just a regular Vinegar? Does it leave any taste in candy ir it dissapears so you feel only sweet?
U don't really taste the vinegar . It has to do with the breaking down of the sugar and helping it invert without going back to a crystal form. It's actually all quite scientific (all cooking is just chemistry)
I tried your recipe, but I have seen alot of videos saying you shouldn't mix it. So beacuse of that mine just turned into hard candy. (I hope this helps other people who want to try it)
can you please telling me more detail why n what shouldn't mix? cuz i want to try it. thanks
Amandou, try not to mix it cuz it will likely to crystalize and your batch will be ruined.
@@amandaou9803 So i mixed it and i out it in the mould and it became the right shape and when I was doing the circles it hardened up and I coudln use it or eat it
thanks
Would I be able to do this recipe and just not mix it?
I’m making it right now it turned out well! Keep up the good work!
I have tried candies dippin' on flour it's kinda ahm you know there's a light bitterness
Do we only have to use white vinegar? Can we use apple vinegar?
I've been so careful to monitor the temperature but still mine ends up cracking. Any tips for me?
Can I sub something else to wrap the candy strands? Instead of peanut grounds. Some people I know is allergic to peanuts
Im gonna wat for 30minutes because i know my mixture is ready but i followed my recipe from ninos home and mine is really weak and bendable... is it because icused golden syrup? Or reformed it to much while adding potato starch
What if when I put it in water it go hard will it still work???
Can i use palm oil?
Can you flavor the candy?
Raw cornflour?
Can I do this without vinegar?
i NEED to try this
Hey can I use golden syrup instead ?
i searched it up, that should work. basically any syrup with a thick consistency, like honey or agave.
Can we add honey insteed of syrup ?
What brand of white vinegar did you use?
Muh me lele brand
do you know why you failed? cuz she or he gave false measurements like 1/4 cup of water, in the video it only poured 1/4 its cup of water, not America's measurements cup, i tried it today, it was really watering, i dont those video give us false measurements
can I use tapioca instead of cornstarch?
i have not tried that, but they are the same consistency, so that should work
This is a traditional Chinese snack. What does it have to do with Korea?
Would powdered sugar work for stretching the candy?
yeah, it'll just taste sweeter, obviously
@@claudiachadwick7695
you should probably use
1/2.25 ratio of powdered sugar with cornstarch
since powdered sugar would be more sticky
@@crystal4478 yeah that would be a good ratio!
T h a n k
can i use glycerin instead of cornsyrup???
Lol i searched wizards beard nice vid btw
im trying this today hope it turns out good
how did it turned?
@@pavelondracek8921 the first 2 bad 3rd good but got way to hard :( gonna keep trying
How can I make it if I don’t have corn starch ?
how many candies can it produce?
What does vinegar do to the candy?
hindi po ba pangit ang lasa dahil sa dami ng corn starch? thankyou po sa recipe. will try this later. 💓
What will happen if you don’t put corn syrup
It won’t be stretchy it will just be a hard block of sugar
Yey ako una comment sarap nyan sissy
Can I ask anyone am trying to make one but my syrup won't get harder and wonder if I missing something
does anyone know what temperature we have to heat it to?
268 or 269 then turn it off and take off the heat
@@fruitytuesdays3369 what about 270 or 267
你真的好犀利👍👍👍👍
I making this rn! Hope it turns out well!
did it?
Can I use maple syrup?
No lol
U can make a homemade corn syrup by mixing lemon, water and sugar and salt together in a pot you will find a video with more details
Are you Canadian?
what can I use instead of corn syrup?
You can also use glucose syrup
@@KitcheNetPh owh thanks
Do you need corn Syrup?
ChimChim tell me
Omaima what?
Yes you will need the corn syrup, the corn syrup is so that the candy won’t fully harden into just a block of sugar and water, the corn syrup helps it become stretchy.
Bro, I tried this and the part where I needed to wait for it to dry for 30 min.It got very hard, later I did a second try but I only waited 12 minutes but it still got very hard, maybe it’s just because I’m bad but I don’t really recommend doing this.
Your mixture must've overcooked and crystalized. It's very difficult for it to get the correct temperature. I've failed 4 batches so far but I feel like I'm starting to understand why.
Lol can i just melt a lollipop And do the same thing?
i put cream of tartar!but mines keeps over heating
Can somebody tell me the measurements in grams and or milliliters
Sugar crystallizes if you stir at anytime...
i put cream of tartar to stop cristallization!but mines keeps over heating
❤

Constance Mears have you made it before if not how would you know in the video it looks just fine
Korean street food??Please stop lying, this candy was made 2,000 years ago in XinJiang, China.
Korea was invaded and colonized by China over 2,000 years ago which would lead to chinese traditions also making their way to Korea. Technically when the candy was created, Korea was a vassal of China, making this creation both Chinese and Korean. However this creation also has roots in other parts of the world.
This is called soan papdi in india
U should never stir it
Why not?
@@babysushi953 crystalization ....if there are crystal it bad
