    I would probably cry if his death is actually shown either in the manga or anime and it involved his “100 Good Deeds every day” and it shows that he was at 99 Deeds when the old man encountered him and it’s this whole tearjerker where his 100th Good Deed was to lay down his life and provided for the old man and his family

      @Predated2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Or a small flashback that it became harder each day to reach his 100 good deeds, because resources were harder to gather, for every good deed he wanted to do, the people needing it would be dead(as an example, gathering extra resources on the nearest island had a 2 day delay due to weather, causing as many people to die from starvation as additional people would be saved, basically cancelling the act)
      Odds were probably that he knew if the country were to be richer, many families would be saved permanently as they could pay the heavenly tribute. And he sought for ways to instead gamble on lives, to find a solution even if it meant he would die.
      I wouldnt be surprised if he was the one finding his own bounty, giving it to the people who needed it and finally getting his 100th good deed that would keep granting 100 daily good deeds for generations.

    “Ship Cutter” T-Bone will be missed so here are some facts about him: died at 53, birthday September 10th, blood type X, height 200 cm / 6'6¾", his sword is called Bamboo, he is voiced by Tomomichi Nishimura (also voices Hyogoro, Miyagi, Kamonegi, Panz Fry, & Don Accino) while in the English dub he is voiced is Kenny Green (Doc Q, Jango, Ipponmatsu, & Eric), & in an early concept he had a completely opposite personality

    You know what most of my liking for t-bone comes from the fact that he was a somewhat bigger player in a fanfic called this bites we're due to the actions of a certain someone he actually ends up joining a conspiracy of Marines who desire to reform the organization as a whole from the corrupt cesspit that it is now and turn it into something that truly stands for justice and protects the people. And then I rewatched the whole thing with rescuing Robin and just remembering just how much of a f****** wholesome good guy t-bone really was. That chapter that opened up with his death just left me feeling empty. Like I get he wasn't that big or important of a character within the entirety of One piece but he was a good likable guy and to think that he just gets cut down like this is really sad. Godspeed T-Bone may your soul become one with justice you beautiful scary looking bastard

    • @jamesvach6698
      @jamesvach6698 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I recall reading that fanfiction, and I really liked it. I recall reading another one where since he was a member of the world government, he was automatically added to an army consisting of antagonists from multiple anime (A very ambitious project known as the Five World's War Series). In it after being captured and enlightened to what the army he ended up a part of as a whole was doing (the group and its leaders keep certain things under wraps from those who don't serve them willingly or would be likely to betray them if not blackmailed) he stated that after he served his sentence for fighting as part of that army, he would like to help the people he fought against however he can whether it is in battle or simple labor. The fact is that he could have been one of the marines who after the world government is defeated could have helped in creating a more just world and assisted in reforming the marines into a group that truly seeks Justice. Now that will not happen, only his memory will remain. May he rest in peace.

      @@olympusgolemoflight7198 I really like that fanfiction. I heard of it and once I started it, I could barely stop reading it especially as the character put in that world makes significant changes. I also recall that the author plans to make sequel to it once One Piece ends. Given how much has changed (for the better in my opinon, but that is just mine) I look forward to seeing what changes are made in the next half. I recall another one in which since T-Bone is part of the world government he ends up fighting in an army made up of antagonists from different manga (A very ambitious project by the writer). Eventually when he is defeated and shown the full extent of the monstrosities that the army in general does (certain things are kept from those who might object or who do not serve willingly) he stated that after he serves his sentence for fighting as part of that army, he would like to serve the other side for the sake of justice. Whether it is as a fighter or in any other capacity. He doesn't have as much of a role so far from what I have read, but I would hope that he makes more appearances later. The author tends to make even minor characters significant in his stories and generally only lets them fade out (unless they die) when he finds that they no longer have a point in the story. I think that there are multiple ways to have T-Bone mentioned or involved. T-Bone truly is one of the best marines in this series, the example of what the marines should aspire to be. The world is poorer for his absence.

    He was one of my favorite One Piece characters just because we shared the same birthday (September 10), learning more about his character and what he represents makes me appreciate him more. RIP T-Bone

    I'm watching One Piece with my boyfriend, I read the manga and am all caught up, he's totally blind and watching the anime with me (we're up to Impel Down and he's loving it), and he LOVED T-Bone when he was introduced in Water 7 on the sea train. Even now T-Bone is like... his favorite marine. When my best friend and I read the latest chapter, and we saw T-Bone had died, I was mind blown, not just because of the death itself but because I realized my partner's heart was eventually going to be totally shattered.
    I'm not ready for that lol that's gonna be a rough rough rough day.

    I think saying unalived himself is safe for TH-cam but who knows. And i am very connected to T-Bone mostly because i watch the Water 7 arc in its entirety at least once a year. Especially when i get someone new into the series i happily binge it with them

    Honestly when i think of a cheverus knight . I cant help but think of the Old Code in the movie Dragon Heart
    "A knight is sworn to valor,
    His heart knows only virtue,
    His blade defends the helpless,
    His might upholds the weak,
    His word speaks only truth,
    His wrath undoes the wicked."

    I think that Oda keeps adding vice admirals as a testament to all the marines that have been able to survive the New World and make a mark in their own way. Similar to how in the Clone Wars animated show, each season we see our clones rank higher. Eventually almost all the past rookies becoming arc troopers due to the necessity of strong soldiers

    • @jamesvach6698
      @jamesvach6698 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    To be someone like T-Bone, in the real world, would make dying for being oneself a great compliment and honor, whether or not one becomes a martyr for their exceptional person-hood/deeds, and such a sacrificial death would be a great shame upon the world, for all who stood by to allow such a murder, and for all who orchestrated the murder in order to protect their earthly riches, while they continue to exploit and enslave all the bystanders for their moral & ethical indolence, maintaining the scraps of joy & peace they receive from the masters' tables, which, in truth, were all their own graces to begin with, given up for the promise of broken dreams fulfilled, much the same as their dignity lost.
