  • The fire happened at a Phoenix warehouse on the morning of May 2, and it prompted a massive HAZMAT response from firefighters.
    According to Phoenix Fire officials, they used a not often used strategy to battle the EV fire, and the fire could take weeks before it is completely put out.
    FOX 10's Steve Nielsen reports.

    1200 pound batteries are not the answer. They create enormous CO2 during manufacture and recycling even more. It's a poorly thought-out idea. Owners act as if no environmental damage is done like it just comes out of nowhere.🤣

    You can find better and better ways to put out an EV fire but it gets more and more expensive to put out and EV fire.

      Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny how the lower third said at least three weeks to extinguish a fire, and then the reporter was saying that it’s sitting there still smoldering, but you couldn’t see a wisp of smoke.

    • @rispatha
      @rispatha ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You can extinguish the fire of the body and interior rather easily. They are talking about the battery still being the issue since the chemicals in them can still burn and smolder for weeks which doesn't necessarily mean you will see smoke or fumes.
