I felt the same way about “Daisy” - you did such a beautiful job and loved the stool! Adorable! I’m a fan of the chippy mess around it. Hard to pick a favorite- they’re all great, but loved the functional pencil holders- the textured background was beautiful.
Love the heat method for napkins, it is my go to! I’m now going to be going through my chairs to see what stool I can make, thank you for all the inspiration girl, you nailed it with all your projects!
Love that you were able to work with the napkin successfully! Daisy is gorgeous! Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone is scary but you did it wonderfully!! ❤
I love your personality and love your videos ! Amazing vision for the stool , I definetly would have centered it , but look how beautiful it came out!!
Thank you so much! ☺️… I am so new to creating with skulls (aside from Halloween) 🤣 do you think it would’ve looked ok even with the horns “missing”? I truly appreciate your feedback!!! 🥰
You done it, with the napkin. I'm glad you embraced the Daisy paper for the stool turned out great, I like it the most. Even for me that is surprising for I'm not a skull kind of woman either. But I liked yours. Thanks.
Absolutely LOVE watching your videos- you have the greatest personality ! Love the functional pieces you made- Olivia got some great pieces ❤ the napkin looks great!
You bring tears to my eyes … I 🫶🏼 you!!! ♥️🥰 I love that I have found another educator here who understands and thrive on this great creative escape! ♥️☺️
Love the pencil shelf sitters, But I think it would be cool to add stems of floral's Or sprigs in the holes on the top To coordinate with the colors in the decoupage paper
Love that idea! ♥️ as an educator (and mom of elementary age kids), my first thought is typically for functional decor … but I absolutely agree other greenery and florals would be gorgeous. That paper makes everything beautiful 🤩
The different tones in the DIY paint could've been caused by a couple of things that I noticed. The finish beneath the paint. Since it was a makeover of a previous project, it could've been a wax or water soluble paint mixing with the color. Or more likely, when you used the gray "top coat" around the edges and back it may have sealed the paint differently. Similar to the different finish colors you get from sealing that kind of paint with wax vs. Big Top. Just my thoughts from things I have done over the years. They all turned out beautiful in the end! And BTW I am having the same trouble with a project for "daisy" and I'm in TN with lots of cows lol. I've laid it out on several bases and haven't found her a home yet lol
Thank you so so much!!! I appreciate your thoughtful and thorough feedback and suggestions. I will say that around Chirstmas time I had something similar happen with Marquee...I'm sure it's what you are saying...I'm not prepping the piece well when paint over paint. Good luck with Daisy!! I hope I get to see it! tag me on Sonnet's page if you post your work. I'm so exctied to see what everyone comes up with! :)
I have some to expect that variable tone with DIY Paint. I've tried to figure out by 'playing', but have no answers. When I want a max & easy distressing, I'll pull out DIY, but tend generally stick with Dixie Bell.
My favorite is the stool….love it!
Thank you so so much! :)

I usually use the iron on method for napkins. It works better for me.
Thank you! It will definitely be my method of choice for napkins going forward!
