Dr. Conners is one of my favorites since so often he is just trying to help even as The Lizard and science Lizards are extra cool.
I was reading a spider-man comic along while back were the Lizard's mind was stuck in Connor's human body . And he keeps doing experiments in horizons lab to turn back into his lizard body while at the same time keeping his identity secret. But his attempts repeatedly fail with the unintended side effect of regrowing Connor's missing arm which he has to repeatedly cut off to avoid blowing his cover and he's eventually caught out when someone realises he had somehow cut off the wrong arm.
If your Curtis Connors does not have a lab coat, a tail, and/or a snout, you don’t have The Lizard, you have a smart low-rent Killer Krok
Dr. Connors has such a sad backstory. Especially in the iterations where he looses his mind to the lizard, kills his family, and then gets back to normal and is devastated by the things hes done

I don’t have any missing limbs but I would be the first one to give up humanity to the Lizard. He could make a kick ass community like in the 90s cartoons but of some willing participants. I need to see a story where what you suggest happens. I was always imagining this scenario forever now and been wanting it to happen to show conflict of interest for Spider-Man seeing people choose to be afflicted while trying to save Curt Conners.
Oh man Karl, I have said since Spider-Man 3 came out that Topher Grace would have made a really good Carnage. At that point, I was purely basing that off of That 70's Show, where you give him red hair, have him act with a little maniacal laugh, and it would have worked great. Then when Predators came out and he was a serial killer, I was like bam! That is exactly it. Cross his Predators serial killer character with Eric Forman and you have a perfect Kletus Cassidy. Now having said that, I also was not a comic reader. I mainly got my Spider-Man and everything related from all of the various cartoon shows, video games, and when I was young, toy-line. I even feel by the point that they were making the Venom movies, and specifically a sequel including Carnage (I forget they made that movie a lot), that even then Topher Grace made a lot more sense than Woody Harrelson.
Also, I would definitely be willing to join the Lizard nation. I don't have anything missing, but I have enough health stuff, that just being a big powerful and healthy lizard... I'll take it.
Raimi was against Venom not only because of the technology but because he simply didn't like the character. Raimi was apparently an old-school fan and Venom was a 90s edgy anti-hero that was pretty new when the movies were being made.

considering that he can also control crocodiles, this means that the marvel universe considers both lizards and crocodiles to be reptiles. thus logic dictates that the lizard can also control birds, since birds are more closely related to crocodiles than lizards are.

dinosaurs (including birds) are more closely related to crocodiles, than crocodiles are to lizards.
so in any form of categorization that considers crocodiles and lizards to be reptiles, logic dictates that all dinosaurs must also be reptiles.
this is also why humans are technically still fish and should thus be subject to aquamans ability to control fish, since humans are more closely related to any bony fish, than any shark is.

I’m pretty sure Sandman mixing with Hydroman was actually a bar fight over a woman. They fused together and it did not go well, but Reed Richards separated them, I think because one of them needed to go to court.
They became Mudman, and their intellect dropped down even lower. When separated they realized that while Mudman was actually pretty strong their competing minds made it impossible tothink.
It's really funny how everyone in the series is all "oh no! Dr Connors is a lizardman" when a significant portion of the populous IRL would line up just to shag him.

Crocodiles aren't dinosaurs. They are relatives. Birds are living dinosaurs, and tecnically repitles, so they could be controled by The Lizard.
