My name is Albeli Ritu and I love telling stories. When I was a little girl all I wanted was to do something creative and different. I didn't have the courage to do it for the last 27 years but finally, I have decided to be the hero of my own story. I came to the US in 2018 December and from 2019 I am sharing my journey as a TH-camr in America. I make travel and lifestyle videos in Hindi from America. I recently moved to London, UK and I am very excited to share my experiences and the whole journey with you. If you like this video don’t forget to subscribe.

    Hello from USA
    Enjoying your UK vlogs.
Just one word of caution when you talk about prices in US vs UK and US is expensive etc
If you go to different states, cities in US , prices vary.
You being in New York the most expensive place , you might find UK cheaper.
But if you go to let’s say Texas the onions will be 45 cents a pound or most grocery stores will sell alcohol .
In Chicago most grocery stores will have international isle and is a foodie’s paradise . And you will find Indian, Russian, German all types of food in a regular grocery store.
    Just a thought.

I agree too, we have bulk purchase stores like Costco or Sams Club where we can buy at a cheaper rate, same way there would be shops in UK where you would buy grocery at a cheap rate.
Again no point in converting everything in rupees, makes no sense to people living in India. You have to buy basic necessities in the local currency.

Indian TH-camrs are half baked, they are always careless in their presentations with zero research. I am glad she is no longer in NY/NJ, always spurting inaccurate information. Almost all desis with cameras on them are useless.

I used to live in the UK about 10 years ago and now I live in the US for the last 5 years. I feel UK food is healthier than US food. And yes you get a lot of Indian type food in British grocery stores, very convenient! I find British grocery stores much better than American grocery stores.

The reason why inflation is rising in India because :
    1. The fuel and cng price are sky rockiting.(due to high tax)
    2. US federal reserve is printing more dollars..
    3. Supply chain issue due to covid.
    4. Rupee is going at its historic low.
    Hope it helps 🤗🤗

Sainsburys is expensive but quality is good. For food shop go to Asda, Morrisons or Tesco’s. Overall food costs have increased here in U.K. and it is expensive. Hence we have really good local markets for fruit and vegetables and go to your local Asian shops for Indian products eg Green street, Ealing road etc.

A suggestion/tip for everyone. Not many people check dates on grocery they are buying.
Always check dates on the packages, especially perishable food like milk, vegetables and bread. Sometimes in Sainsbury's don't have longer dates expiry date is in 2-3 days.
They put new batches in the back of the shelf. If I am buying something with my hard earned money, I want to make sure it is fresher and has longer dates.

Not the right way of comparing things. You can’t just convert a currency into a common currency. People in US earn much higher salaries too, so ultimately the purchasing power is higher as well compared to UK. Similar way, it’s not that groceries in India is cheaper because ultimately the purchasing power isn’t very high. All these ‘grocery prices in US vs X/Y/Z countries’ or ‘1 Crore salary’ videos are useless if you don’t explain the viewers thing like cost of living, median salaries, purchasing power etc
