Introduction to GAC Aion Hyper GT: a Concept for the Future🤑

Aion, a Chinese car sub-brand owned by GAC Group, has opened its Guangzhou show lineup with a demonstration of an all-electric flagship saloon named the Hyper GT. The car boasts a powerful motor, rear-wheel drive and excellent aerodynamics.
With a drag ratio as low as 0.19, the Hyper GT comes second only to the Lightyear 0, a Netherlands-made solar car with the drag ratio of 0.175. This means it should get outstanding mileage out of smaller batteries, but only in theory right now: the drag is only this low when video cameras are used instead of side mirrors. This innovative feature is not road-legal anywhere in China at present.
Aion says there will be dual-motor/AWD variants of the Hyper GT when it goes into production. For the time being, the only example revealed uses a single rear-axle motor capable of 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) and 434 Nm (320 lb-ft) of torque. It needs roughly four seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph). The battery capacity options remain to be revealed.
From the design standpoint, the car features frameless doors that lift Lamborghini-style at the front and swing open as usual at the back. The rear spoiler can retract, extend and even adjust its own width.
The headlights support a music lightshow mode similar to what has been implemented in Tesla cars before. The front bumper air intakes sport electronic louvers. The adaptive cruise control on board joins efforts with 39 sensors, including 3 LiDARs, to form a Level 3 semi-autonomous driving system.
A look inside reveals a rounded rectangular steering wheel and a digital dash screen mounted closer towards the windshield than usual. Aion promises an abundance of high-quality trimming materials for the production car.
