Chris was also in a southern rock band called "The Jompson Brothers". They had one cd but my favorite is a video, live from the shed in Tennessee, called "the river". My favorite Chris song is from about 14 years ago called "fool me again". You can't go wrong with any of his stuff.
The band members of The SteelDrivers were all top session musicians in Nashville and Stapleton was a long time song writer who wrote songs for many country music stars. If you want to hear the rock side of Chris Stapleton check out The Jompson Brothers. It was the band Stapleton began when he was in The SteelDrivers. They only recorded one album, but the song On The Run will rock your socks off! It features Stapleton's incredible voice, but also a great guitar sound. Amazing song and album!

My all time favorite Steel drivers song!! Drinking Dark Whiskey is another good song, and fits the show really well.
I really want to come back to Steel Drivers. We listened to Peacemaker, but without Stapleton. I want more Stapleton.

I'm liking your roots for the first three videos. This was great with the Steel Drivers for my first time hearing them. Chris does have a voice!

Chris Stapleton live at Austin City Limits- Tennessee Whiskey and also I Was Wrong, oh man, so good at this live show! Also he did a live collab with Justin Timberlake, very popular for reactors and an amazing performance!!!
Never been much of a Timberlake fan, but that's probably pretty interesting. We'll add that to our list.

Bourbon suggestion - if you haven't tried it yet - Breckenridge Bourbon. They have a few different finishes. It comes from Breckenridge Colorado.
Southwestern Ohio is home to some great bluegrass music as well. There is an entire album and book dedicated to preserving this history. Check out Readin, Rightin, Route 23.
Chris left the Steeldrivers about 2010 to help raise the kids. He came back on his own a few years ago. Still killin it with his bluesy soul voice. For some modern Steeldrivers check out It's a Long Way Down.

11:10 I'm really bummed that I didn't go and see him at the small venue of Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma when I saw that he was coming by, before he blew up big. But I was too unhealthy to go.
It was after he did the cover of Tennessee Whiskey, but before he blew up real big after performing Tennessee Whiskey at the CMA's with Justin Timberlake.. That's when most people found out about him.

Really enjoyed your reaction to this video. I am a Chris Stapleton nut, can't get enough. I would like to strongly suggest another artist that will blow your mind. His name is Colter Wall, he is from Canada and has an absolutely stunning voice, imagine Johnny Cash on steroids. The video that showcases his talent vocally and his writing talent is Kate Macannon, the Brewery Sessions. Please please react to him, you won't be disappointed.
