This is a good first step. What drove me into flashing a custom ROM is OCD: the clean/deep clean option will still appear in the recent apps menu after you've removed the "cleaner" app. It's just there, being a useless button that does nothing every time I go into recent apps.
I can feel it bro. You can't get rid of the cleaner app completely. The cleaning option will still show up on the security app. Clicking on it won't do anything though.
Great. It works. There were still 7 apps that I wasn't able to uninstall but just realised that i still uninstalled like 15 apps. They amount of bloatware mi have is crazy. K20 pro was my first MI phone and will be my last. Samsung for life.

Here's a much much much easier idea to get rid of the bloat , not remove completely , but still ....(I did this on my grandparent's phone) : 1) first disable all mi app notifications which you want removed. 2) Install poco launcher from the playstore. 2) Open hide apps option . 3) hide all the mi apps . 4) set a complicated password . 5) forget the password . 6) you're good to go, have fun . the poco launcher is way cleaner and it is very similar to stock android , especially the homesceen and the app drawer. This is a very easy and simple way , the phone becomes absolutely beautiful . Harsh , please pin this comment so that everyone finds this helpful , also keep up the amazing work , love your videos .

Did the same thing. Did not saw my device even previously it was seen by some other adb tool working in command line. That tool could not uninstall the pesky MiVideo. I solved disabling the developer mode and enabling it again. Then all worked as a charm. Great solution. However, that advertising from his page was for some software full of malware.

If ROM it properly no problems but if you try to get a ROM from a bad dev (best custom rom: Lineage OS)it will be a problem or if you forget to flash something. And you can do what the above guy said for apps.

I just wanna mention that when i tried flashing my phone a couple years ago, i tried some wierd shit to remive mi browser , and then it failed , so i left that idea , after my next miui update , the browser disappeared , I have no idea what I did till now. You can go to google and search for the application which are safe to uninstall . I also got rid of calculator and other apps too. So search online about which apps are safe to uninstall . There you will find a list which are safe to remove , then using that list the method which @technolobe used to get your app free from bloatware.
If you need to turn off ads..then just factory reset your phone.... during setting up it asks permission for personalized recommendations.....if you turn it off... that's all... One click....no ads

If you went to Central Mall yesterday and Visited Shopper's Stop, from the Next minute you start getting Shopper's Stop ads on phone and Levis ads and Nautica ads etc (similar/linked companies). Or if you visited Myntra website from Chrome you start getting Myntra ads in FB. That's because the phone tracks ALL your activities and movements, and uses it to push targeted ads. If you choose not to get customized ads during setting, then the phone doesnt use them for ads any more. So - the phone still tracks ALL your data, it still pushes exactly same number of ads, just that the ads are apparently random and not driven by your activities.
Honestly speaking. There's no way possible you can Uninstall or Disable Mi Inbuilt Apps. After a certain model now they have created a technology by which it's impossible to remove the apps. Best way possible is that you don't buy their phones if you love to have a clean and clear experience.
It will not free up any space because the bloatware is stored in /system partition which only system apps are installed. And /data partition which stores user data will not get any free space by removing uninstallable bloatware.

U can use magisk manager to hide root from any desired app

I successfully uninstalled them but I was expecting to free up some space after that but it doesn't give some space in my phone. Please help
It will not free up any space because the bloatware is stored in /system partition which only system apps are installed. And /data partition which stores user data will not get any free space by removing uninstallable bloatware.

A "Disable" button will also appear on "App Infos" if you temporarily turn off MIUI Optimization on Developer Options. No external devices necessary.
