My man!!!!! You are awesome! Thank you for posting this!!! I was able to start my wife's hybrid after the battery depleted due to a bad BMS. Thank you so much!!!!
How do you check for a bad BMS. I checked all my cells in the optima. And only one cell had 27.7V which is not bad but my brought that same light it starts and will only go to like 20mph might it be the BMS or the relay being the problem?
Hello, If the car has 9 cells and you said it needs 280 to start that means it 31.1111111 can I charge each cell to about 32 with out messing anything up?
@donfenderson hi if you do longer you are gona dumedge the cell . Because when you changing the cell the temperature 🌡 going up quickly that's why you need to be careful Your gole 30v volt each cell you have that your good
I bought a replacement battery for my 2012 optima hybrid and it still has the same issue: engines revs quite frequently when changing from electric to gas. At first I was told that it could be a transmission issue, but the gears are not slipping, but it does sound like that while driving. It is also not an engine issue, this only happens while driving and when the car is in EV mode and then decides to change to use the engine. It's very frustrating because at times the car will struggle to accelerate beyond 30 mph, and basically redlines at low speeds, without any acceleration to the car. Any thoughts you may have would be extremely helpful, you seem very knowledgable with these cars.
