I was at this show. Right after Primus, on the same stage, was Lil Wayne. All of Wayne's fans had camped out at the front of the stage all day and then Primus came on. The amount of fear and shock in the faces of teeny bopper Wayne's fans is a sight I will never forget.

@crowcrow2499 I get exactly what you're saying! I was at an Oasis concert and Kasabian were supporting them... two girls at their concert were stood next to me in the pit at the front... I told them to get out before Vlad The Impaler came on as the place would erupt... they said theyd be fine... after me saving their lives by pulling them up from the floor and being trampled I pushed them to the barrier and got security to get their asses outta there...
In the studio version, Tom Watts performs the voice of Tommy the Cat. He's like a mangy alley cat with a five pack a day habit.

Primus literally transcends all musical genres! They are some of the best musicians on the planet!
Literally every single person I've seen react to this song dances around in the exact same way. The exact same way the alley cats in the music video do! 😂
Your face says it all. Primus is just a bunch of awesome, thrown right in your face! I'm glad to see the pure joy of Primus spread across you. Best reaction video I've seen. Thanks for not stopping it a million times and not getting the full effect of the music, like most reaction videos do.
As a bass player...watching Les play is like a guitar player watching EVH or SRV play. It's quite frustrating usually 🤣.
Preach! I can't even tell you how many times I've almost thrown my bass into the nearest wall while trying to learn a primus song... Primus songs are deceiving because Les plays them so effortlessly and cleanly, that it seems like they are way easier then they actually are, and God damn is it dejecting when you realize how out of your league you are trying to learn one of their songs. Ive made it a personal goal of mine to learn how to play Claypool's version of The Awakening, and its been 2 years since I attempted to learn it for the first time, and im still nowhere even close. And don't even get me started on how hard it would be to play any of those bass lines while also singing/narrating like Les does. Its always a major reality check when you try to learn a Primus song on bass...

I loved watching the smile just spreading across your face when Les began bashing, plucking and smashing that bass. Exactly the same reaction I have every time even after nearly thirty years of listening to it. More
Les is the only bassist I know of who has whammy bars on his basses.

For some reason, EVERYBODY reacts to this clip and JUST this clip. When I feel that they should react to this song performed at the Bizarre festival 1992, where Les plays it on a six string fretless, which makes his playing even more unbelievable.
Nothing more awesome than Primus (or the Claypool Lennon Delirium) live in concert. If you haven’t yet, treat yourself. Go!

I highly recommend listening to his band with Sean Lennon (John Lennon’s son) *The Claypool Lennon Delirium* their most recent album *South of Reality* is pretty good
