I have had seven of the best friends I have ever had in my life, Two Golden Retrievers, Two German Shepard Mixes, Two Black Labrador Mixes, and ONE toy poodle ( my mother's after I lost her); EVERY ONE of them had their own personality and their own way to drive me NUTS. GOD: I MISS EVERY ONE OF THEM!

Awee how adorable… the one clip brings back memories. My little husky buddy, when he was not liking the heat on in winter. When he knew there was snow , he would pretend to have to go to bathroom in middle of the night. Run and jump in snow….then just lay down happily , wouldn’t budge so at 3am would have to go out and make him come back in house lol

My dog was never destructive. We had Penny from 7 weeks old until she passed at 10 years old from cancer. She was a real sweetheart ❤️ and was actually born on Valentine's Day!

Whenever my nephew’s dog got out of her pen, she was a huge dog, she would run into the house, grab a loaf of bread and run outside with it until she could safely eat the bread. That dog loved bread.

So very true. They give love, joy and friendship in equal measure. I'm old now with a certain amount of disability. My allergic son is 23, educated, employed and working his ideal job. I'm ready , alone, a bit worried about how to deal with a puppy if I have to go to a hospital. With no one here. My son is a bit put off that I want a friend, though I recall it being more work & I was 30 years younger. Advice Appreciated!!!!! I think it will be a lot of work hard on me but will keep me alive and loving it , sharing intimately with my best close friend, instead of thinking about outliving her. I'm 70.
Get a senior dog from the humane society. They need live too, some are well trained and they’re good company
If it becomes problematic, try co-parenting with someone who has the same issues. As long as you alternate outings to fit a schedule, there should be a lots of fun, adventure, and love for both of you.
