fun fact: if you take too long in the corn game it will say "the harvest has begun..." and the giant corn man walking around looking for you will instantly know your location and is running to get you and all you will hear as he gets closer is really fast, heavy stomping and before you know it he brutaly beats you to death..honestly terrifying

The first game has such a effect on him even before the monster corn appeared. The game would work equally well raising anxiety in players although no monsters might disappoint some people

I think the scariest part of a horror game is not knowing if the monster is there or not, or what it’s next move is.

When the phone operator was speaking gibberish in the intruder, it said “he’ll rip your face off” backwards. A lot like the mandela catalog. (Go watch it if you haven’t, but it’s extremely scary)

Here is a technique to escape mazes: The right hand technique, this technique has a chance to work or not, you will have to find a wall and put you right hand on it, if you feel like you ended up in the position you started at, try another wall, the technique actually helps you discover if its a disjointed maze and the layout of it, a disjointed maze is a maze type where the walls mostly don't connect and when your in a maze with wall disjoints the right hand technique is mostly useless because you will end up at the same position where you were last at, the right hand technique helps you find the layout of the maze because it can also help you find the exit by following the right wall leading you the the answer the the layout of the maze and the way to the exit. Also nice vid, definitely one of my fav TH-camrs, Love your content dude!

I like the first game. it gives you the feeling that something is lurking and it just builds up anxiety until you just finish it.
The second game also is pretty cool, i think the gameplay loop is okay though.
The third one is just well thought out and a good game.

I actually played The Intruder with my girlfriend :D
Very good game, it is quite hard though.
My advice would be to keep the lights off so you don't have to go turn them off everytime and leave the closet open so you can hide in it quickly
anxiety, though. anxiety spikes higher than usual when the lights are off.

The first game does have a monster, hes pretty hard to deal with if he finds you. But if you are in the maze for too long then the harvest will begin.

i think the hiding places in the intruder are on purpose. the intruder *knows* we are there, it’s why he stares at us when we’re hiding. he knows we have nowhere else to go, it’s kind of like he’s just playing with his food before he eats it.

@klee9062 acually if you move in the closet while hiding, the intruder catches you, meaning that he cant see moving things, and also. When he enters the room he takes a bit to check the closet

I know everyone know this, but i think the reanimation is a metaphor of someone having a bad memory(i think this is about betrayal and family stuff), and once the character grew up, he's going to discover his bad memory and at the same time fighting his biggest fears of discover a bitter truth(i think the stickman monster represent his biggest fears), much like rule of rose.

The first one really sent me down a rabbit hole of phobias. Now I'm reading website after website of phobias because I'm so invested in how fear, emotions, or the brain works in general. It's fascinating how many phobias exist. But also how long the names are or how hard they are to pronounce is mind-blowing.

I’m very late to commenting but I was recommend playing The Intruder again since it got updated and has two more gameplay styles now with one being the mall, and one being the end, and you could also do the house and mall in multiplayer now, and I recommend you try it again
