    Just amazing, the number 1 solo artist of all time in the UK and you can see why, his voice, lyrically and pure entertainment.

    Great reactions as always! I love Come Undone - the lyrics perfectly encapsulate how many people feel about themselves but I think he was also reflecting back the media reports about his party boy, drug taking, alcoholic lifestyle and the impact it had on him at the same time (all true it has to be said). His ability to come across so confident but also so broken is compelling

    I saw Robbie at a live concert in Birmingham UK last Saturday. The boy still got it! I’ve waited a long time to see him live and it was worth the wait!. P.s Eternity was written for Gerry Halliwell after she split from the spice girls, they went on holiday together and became “good friends”. Also, the Elvis tattoo is real , he is a big fan of Elvis and has his whole show staff do the prayer of serenity before every performance.

    The drums on Let Me Entertain You are amazing. Chris Sharrock worked for Robbie's band almost 10 years. He is one of my favourites drummer of all the time

    Yay for more Robbie! Let me Entertain You is such an amazing song live btw. Have you seen any live performances?
    Yeah. Apart from the high energy songs and amazing vocals there's also some real deep lyrics in his songs. I love him. He can seem so confident and self assured, but that's not really the case deep down. Oh. You need to check out his new song Lost too. ❤

    Such a fantastic reaction to the choice of Robbie songs you picked. Agree that you should give "Road to Mandalay" a shot as it explains Enternity more. Also since you mentioned his Take That past there is "No Regrets" perhaps his most raw and honest song he ever put out and it is a true gem to listen to.

    Eternity was a follow on or a part 2 of the song The road to Mandalay where he is involved in a bank robbery that is why Robbie is being arrested at the end of the song Eternity

  • @ArticAnomaly

    I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but Eternity was written as a tribute for Gerri Halliwell following a bereavement she suffered (i think one of her parents deaths), it also features Brian May of Queen on guitar.

    For live performances, anything from Knebworth is fantastic, especially Feel, Angels and Let Me Entertain You. I think you will also enjoy Kylie Minogue & Robbie Williams - Kids (Live Manchester 2000).

    His best concert for these songs, look up Knebworth Live 2003. The show he puts on for these songs is outstanding. And the crowd when they pull out to show them, look like it rivals America’s Woodstock. It’s great!❤

    Great to see you back on Robbie 😊, he always entertains, and is a true showman, and so versatile, and not a singer/songwriter that sticks to a formula, his songs are so varied.
    What is also refreshing is, as you say, he doesn’t take himself too seriously, and has always been known as a cheekie chappie
    Also, love your reactions, and can see you are deffo a Robbie fan ❤

    My favourite album is “Sing when you’re winning” (not to be confused with “SWING when you’re winning”). How about “Better Man” or “Road to Mandalay” from that album. Or “Kids” which is a duet with Nicole Kidman and more energetic.

    Just to let you know that this current video of "Come Undone" is not the original video, but just a shamefully edited and censored version. The original video, that won the MVPA award (2004), was directed by the renowned Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund. If you are interested you can still watch the original video in his official webpage

    When I saw Let Me Entertain you the first time on video I didn't get the Kiss Reference. But he does a homage to Ozzy too with the dove.
    Come Undone is on the same album as Feel and they are both epic. Eternity is not a favourite of mine but its good. Advertising Space still gets me rivited. Let Me Entertain You brings me back to being 15 and being totally in love with him, Also his love of losing his shirts meant you could always keep up with the new tattoos.

    Watching this video has brought back a lot of memories of my 13-year-old self illegally downloading all of Robbie's music videos on my iPod Classic and watching them all night. He's still my comfort artist to this day and seeing Rob perform Let Me Entertain You live on the 2011 Take That tour was a religious experience. I love the extended live version.
    Watching the video of Come Undone on music channels in the 00s was quite the experience because literally half of the video used to be blurred for television. I don't like the video itself but the song is brilliant.

  • @ivalicetifalucis
    @ivalicetifalucis ปีที่แล้ว

    15:56 Eternity, so this song is actually a B side from his single The Road to Mandalay. The music video itself is actually a sequel to The Road to Mandalay music video. There's a reason why they were celebrating something at the beginning and why he ended up get caught by police at the end.
    Pretty rad tho, some of his best songs are actually B sides and then later after cassette era is over, he released many of these hidden gems in his LP, Under the Radar. If you dive deeper to his discography you realized he wrote a lot of songs and some of them are basically a lost material. As a fan I even only surfed through like half of his discography. This guy has OCD and cope with it by making arts.
    Edit: and insane that he still has so many songs he wrote with Take That and also just between him and Gary that he has never shown to public.

    Hi! I hope you watch the official music video of The 80s!
    It was made as a contest, where directors all over the world would submit a video and the winner would have the honor of becoming the official video, and a video from my country (Argentina) won! So no actual Robbie on that one but it's so good both the panel of judges and Robbie himself picked it as their first choice, so yeah, we (?) were really proud.
    (I think it was an interesting win to give to Argentinians considering it is a song by an English guy that mentions the "Faklands")
    PD: Come Undone is such a good song, next to Feel it's my favorite one

  • @hakuna..matata
    @hakuna..matata 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    15:52 The video to "Eternity" is a sequel of "The Road to Mandalay" (another great song of his). In the latter he robs a bank or a money transporter, so in "Eternity" he bought the house with that stolen money and gets arrested at the end.
    You should react to "The road to Mandalay", then "Eternity" would make more sense.

You should check out ANY of his live performances they're all amazing. You won't be let down....I still say you ought to watch him on Graham Norton as well. 🤣 hilarious stories. Also I promise he owns clothing...he just really loves to be naked or in his underwear! 🤣

    Great set of songs you chose here, though it's difficult to go wrong (decent for those from his Rudebox album that flopped and isn't that good). Have you already reacted to Sexed Up, another brutally honest song with an interesting video to say the least. And Bodies is another one you should react to (again not sure if you've already reacted to that). Other than that the suggestions for Road To Mandalay and Me and My Monkey if you can find videos to are great songs, as are two that weren't released as singles so don't have videos but I know you'd love from his Reality Killed The Video Star album, Last Days of Disco and Difficult For Weirdos, they are more synth based electronic songs with great bass I think which I know you love.

    You haven't reacted to 'The Road to Mandalay', right? Because that one provides some explanation into the 'Eternity' music video.
    It's interesting what you said about the lack of clothes because I have this image, and I might be wrong, that Robbie always wore a lot of clothes when compared to the other guys in Take That, at least in some of the music videos. With the exception of Gary, perhaps. I believe Robbie was somewhat body conscious when he was younger, so maybe his solo career music videos reflect his grown confidence. I don't know.
    By the way, is there any chance of you reacting to some Pet Shop Boys again? It's been a while. :-) I'd love to see at least 'DJ Culture', 'Heart', 'Where The Streets Have No Name', 'Jealousy', 'Was It Worth It?' and 'It's Alright' at some point in the near or distant future.

It will make more sense.😁 Oh, and I went through some of your other videos and saw that you’ve already seen a lot of Take That. Sorry for suggesting them. I should have looked first. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love Take That. That young Robbie…yummm! And I love his songs when he went out on his own. He and Gary Barlow are fantastic singers and songwriters.
