This month, Boiler Room was due to broadcast from Kyiv but we are instead now diverting our efforts to urgently raise funds to help refugees fleeing Ukraine. I always think the problem is its not until you've heard this music in a dark room on a proper sound system with a crowd vibing to it, that you can get it. Pretty much half of the song is missing if played on headphones/laptops/phones/home speakers.
I was listening to dubstep in 2003/2004 or whatever but couldn't get to the gigs cos they were all in London. Went to a soundsystem clash a few years ago and heard all the oldschool stuff on a variety of big systems and it was phenomenally enjoyable alright. Wasn't even particularly loud you were just getting the full range of it.
@ShapeyFiend yeah for sure! I even think probably the depth of bass and some sounds on Malas tunes comes across on vinyl, but are lost when ripped into mp3 for youtube.
I hear Blue Notez online I think its pretty good, but on a sound system it knocks your sock off.
I was lucky enough to catch mala here in america a few years ago. When he got on stage he said “kill the lights” and it was on 😂

Awesome. This takes me back to Outlook 2008. First time seeing a lot of dubstep live. Mala was & will always be one of the best 😍
I was there 2010 - Unbelievable scenes. So good to hear some fresh stuff, I love dubstep more than anything but haven't been aware of new releases for a few years now.
Ntype had a legendary set that year
outlook is gone man new location is trash :/ ... im croatian been 10 years in a row .. 2021 was a big disappointment in every aspect .
I was at outlook 2010, dimensions 2011. Both so epic. That venue was like nothing I've ever seen. The Moat stage OMG. Boat parties were next level as well. Saw Skream play Summer Dreams on a boat party while sun sets I melted
always good to see Mala doing his thing , dis guy changed my mind and life 15 years ago :D
