    Can’t beat that Scottish scenery. All the streams, greenery, wildlife, coos, sheep, flora and coastal sights. Can’t wait to visit again in October. From 🇦🇺.

    I found your channel by accident and I am really enjoying watching your trip to Scotland. I live in Perth Western Australia and our environment is so different as to be living on different planet. We have just entered winter here and believe it or not down the south of WA we had snow on the Sterling Ranges. In the mean time in the north of WA the temp is lovely and warm best time to go there. In summer temps can better 40 degrees C. Perth has a Mediterranean climate but does get cold but in between rain periods we can have warm clear days and in summer can get really hot
    Having plenty of rivers and so much greenery in England is wonderful. I love your Defender well thought out and would be great to travel around
    Australia. I drive a V8 diesel Toyota 200 series Landcruiser and have a Traveller off road caravan.I am enjoying your solo camping and other trips as well and wish you and Mrs Bushwacker best wishes and keep yourselves safe.

      Never been to WA but I agree that our terrain is sooo different from Scotland. Amazing scenery there. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Tip I learned from camping with Steve channel....in a storm do not sleep near trees. Widow makers.

    Great day out !

    Looking forward to touring that area myself. That Landy of yours is definitely a great vehicle to travel and camp in.

    Access Rights
    Scottish access rights and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code do not apply to motor vehicles.
    The Road Traffic Act 1988 states that you can drive a vehicle up to 15 yards off a public road for the purpose of parking, but this does not confer any right to park the vehicle. Most un-metalled roads, unfenced land and beaches are private property, and you don’t have a right to park unless it’s authorised by the landowner by verbal agreement or signage.

      I respect the rules thats why i leave no trace. I have land and respect people who enjoy the great outdoors on my land.Without having to spend loads of money on polluted campsites Rules are implicated to make money out of us the plebs 👍👍

    • @junehall2177
      @junehall2177 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@BushwackerOverland If you respected the rules you wouldn't be there without permission. Good that you do that, that's great with your permission. Can't you understand that you need permission from other landowners, leaving no trace or not ?
      And how about contributing to the local economy by staying on legitimate sites ?The law in the Highlands for roof top tents is campsites only.

      @@BushwackerOverland Rules in this case are here to stop hordes of people doing exactly what you did, which is a big problem in many areas here. People here are so sick of this, people coming from elsewhere and abusing the commons. You say you leave no trace etc. (bs, a couple drives over anything in a 4x4 leaves a trace and many places are getting ripped up by people doing what you do, nice fire too), do you think all the people watching your videos and emulating are leaving no trace? The majority of people doing this make a right mess, if everyone acted like you, every beautiful place in the Highlands near the road would look like a traveller site. Prick.

    You cannot "off road" in Scotland without the landowner's permission, it is illegal.

    • @BushwackerOverland
      @BushwackerOverland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most things we do every day are illegal 👍👍

    • @junehall2177
      @junehall2177 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@BushwackerOverland So if you do illegal stuff do you think it's wise to put it out for the world to see ?
      Do you do illegal stuff everyday because I don't & the majority of folk don't ?

      Couldn’t agree more. The lack of respect and understanding is amazing to me, especially from people that seem to want to come across like they know what they’re talking about.
