Crossbills are cool birds. They are usually found at pine groves/forest. We don’t usually see them here. This year there are Crossbill irruptions where they are seen outside their range. There is a flock of them that hang out at this cemetery that has many old pine and arborvitae trees. Their beaks are crossed and very sharp. They are one of properly named birds…Crossbill.. 😂 They use their specialized bills to pry open the cones to get the nut/seeds out of the cone. Tomorrow, I’m taking some friends to the cemetery to watch them again. Hopefully they are still there.

I've never seen one of those kind of birds, but 0:22 I'm sure that beak can break any kind of shell open. Beak is very strange looking.
