    I remember, that when I started playing jka and asked someone to teach me, I have been immediately taught poke+wiggle. Back then I thought, that there is no sense in playing red, if you can't poke and wiggle. Learning those was very hard for me and I gave up on red for few months. It was pretty missleading.

    haha nice vid it brings me back, used to play when GoDs clan was a thing, ive spent so much time on this it was like a third hand xD
    and yeah the poke players were very nasty, i was more of a wiggle with poke, and staff was my main, some pro poke players hated me when i used to beat them with staff over and over, i was just too fast to escape those fatal blows, when u master staff u can easily avoid that and enter their weak spot cause they recover movement slowly but it aint easy to master that timing, even that dumb special front jump move is usefull if u know what ure doing not just spamming like most do.
    TY i have it on steam maybe i should play it again =p
    not any other SW game have the learning process this one does and better yet with no skill tree or points BS...

      Staff and duals got a huge buff since 1.00 they obnoxiously glance the majority of what would be a solid red attack. Still fun to face them especially when you do go up against a good staffer

    Great Job! This damage of Poke is 100/100 ?

    • @dzon.jk3951
      @dzon.jk3951  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, most of those hits would've been lethal to someone with 100/100hp, Kyles have 500hp by default so they don't die that easily. There's a map called t3home where you can find a room with kyle spawners with a variety of HPs to choose from so that you can practice your hits. Also, thank you for the kind words, appreciate it! :)

      I know the map, now I have a serious problem with my Poke, do not take enough and nose if it is my ping, constantly play with 100 ping in serveridores Statians state and when I make a poke me goes wrong, This ( JAWA) server for example to make a poke me does not work out as a simple kata easy kill me nose if this altered the damage on that server, but still great video!

      Many JA+ servers use altered settings to make wiggle and poke less viable (you know, because using exploits like this in servers where dueling prowess is regarded highly is severely frowned upon). It still works of course, but often not to the same effectiveness.

      You can't really compare JA+ and base servers, it leads to nothing but arguments. It's like comparing Call of Duty to CS:GO, completely pointless. JA+ has set damages for attacks. Something that wouldn't kill you on base (like a very badly aimed hit) can kill you on JA+. Not to mention you can exploit the grappling hook, kicks etc. - something that doesn't exist on pure servers.

      John G. Not in a duel though. JA+ is heavily 1on1 duel-based these days. FFA is pretty rare and grapple abusers get ganged up on when it does happen x)

    I hate that fighting method. It always seemed to me, that its all about saber exploitation, to gain much more advantage over other player, than a normal fun saberfighting. You basically have to master this in some point, to even have a slight chance in Duels, when other players are fighting like this.

      It gives the game so much more depth though. And makes it possible to personalize an already intricate as hell combat system.

      @@dingusdangus1790 No it's clear and blatant exploitation of the game's systems and mechanics that was overlooked during development. It's quite clear when you can oneshot people with dmg that already goes beyond the health value which completely negates even using any other method or style because it's so broken and easily done. This is where I think mods like Movie Battles 2 improved since Lightsabers actually work like Lightsabers and all styles are balanced together.

    So whats happening? Meaning what are you doing with the mouse, or forward, back, left, right direction..?

    • @dzon.jk3951
      @dzon.jk3951  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +nlawson2004 You're moving the mouse the opposite direction of a given swing in order to counter act the movement, so that the swing essentially stays in place and doesn't move, and the longer the saber stays inside an opponent, the more damage it does. If you're seeking for an in-depth explanation on what poking and wiggling is, please visit the website i posted in the description of the video, it should help! I'd also like to thank you for commenting on the video, if you have any other questions please ask, i'll be glad to respond. :)

    Do these techniques assume that your opponent will stand still while you’ll be graciously performing your pokes? Really now…

    • @dzon.jk3951
      @dzon.jk3951  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It takes practice to be able to do it it while moving, but that's how people have been playing for years. At the highest skill level, poke is employed all the time. It is one of the first techniques you would learn if someone were to teach you how to play well.

    • @dzon.jk3951
      @dzon.jk3951  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sono Sung Scripting poke/wiggle doesn't work if you don't know how to move - properly dodge, time the attacks and so on. Even then it's a disadvantage because it keeps changing the orientation of your camera which takes control away from you. The only script that is often used is the lowjump script, maybe you know what does.

    • @dzon.jk3951
      @dzon.jk3951  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sono Sung It's not hard, just takes practice. Most people don't use scripts to perform it, and those that do get wrecked anyway. I can do it very consistently, and so can everyone else who plays the game at least semi-competitively. You can only perform it fully if your opponent allows it through a fatal mistake anyway. Good players hardly ever get 1-hit.

    • @dzon.jk3951
      @dzon.jk3951  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sono Sung Whatever dude. I'm sorry you've never put the effort to learn how to shake your mouse, doesn't mean everyone who plays better is a cheater. There's no convincing you other than streaming the game with a handcam recording the mouse movements, which nobody will waste their time on. Scripts will never give you the control a mouse gives you.
